Rotas & Tires

So, I have some Rota Slips 15X6.5's, 40 offset on stock suspension and I'm deciding on what size tire I should get to avoid having any rubbing issues. I am deciding between 195/55-15's and 205/50-15. What do y'all think? Thanks.

I ended up ordering the 205/50-15's. Hopefully there are no rubbing issues!

Stock rim is 15x6" with +55 offset.

15x6.5" is only slightly wider, +40 offset brings the wheel much farther to the outside of the car so tire diameter needs to be close to or no larger than stock for best clearance.

185/60-15 23.6" tire diameter Load rating 84
195/55-15 23.3" tire diameter Load rating 84
205/50-15 23.1" tire diameter Load rating 86

Alternatively you can also choose tires that are a little less than stock tire diameter but watch the load ratings.

195/50-15 22.8" tire diameter Load rating 82

205/50-15 should work just fine. Note that wider tires will improve handling and grip but in snow they don't cut through as easily.

I have run Kosei K1 TS 15x7 rims et+37 and Bridgestone RE-01R in 195/50-15 on my Fit Sport with stock suspension and it did fine with no rubbing. I have also run Sport Edition 15x6 rims +50 et and 205/50-15 tires with no problems.
