Does anyone know our Lug Nut size? 1.25 or 1.5? I'm looking to upgrade on the rims and I wanted to get aftermarket Lugz, not the ones that come with the aftermarket rims. Does the new rim matter what size lug nuts to get? Or does the aftermarket rim not affect which size lugz to get? Thanks guys.

Guess you missed checking the tags for lug nuts during your search

12mm x1.5 mm pitch. Make sure you match the wheel to the type of taper when you go fronm Honda wheels to aftermarket ones. Honda likes spherical while most wheels have a 60 degree conical taper. Also match the centerbore and check the wheel nuts needed. Many aftermarket wheels now use the small lugnuts that require a tool to engage the lugnuts. And sometimes thats nice to slow theives.

With slips you'll need the Acorn/Chamfered ones. Pretty much any aftermarket set will work.

Aftermarket wheels = acorn...I like to call them chamfered ones mainly because an acorn reminds me of the rounded ones, but for some reason that is not the case.

Well guess what guys. The lug nuts I got are acorn but they did not fit. The head part of the lug nut was too wide. It barely entered the hole and just spinned around two threads on the bolt and got stuck. So I had to take further action. I know of many ppl that their lug nuts did not fit into their rims. Here's my solution.

Ready for this guys? I emailed back the company that I bought the race lug nuts from and they told me that if I wanted to return them they would have to do a 25% restocking fee. And that about 25 bucks off of my purchase which was $100 for the Lugs (Top quality). So I thought Fcuk that and I decided to grind the side wall of the head down. I could have easily sold them but that really wasnt an option for me because this was the only lug nut brand and color I wanted to go. I'm unique that way lol. Please dont try this unless you 1) have the right equipment, 2) Have plenty of time, and 3) know what the hell your doing. I basically cut off a millimeter from the width of the head and kept it perfectly cylindrical so if you were to measure the new diameter is show that in reality there was 2 millimeters taken off of the head. If it is not a perfect cylinder it will not work. You may also run the risk of making the lug nut weaker which is the worse part. Knowing that these lugs are expensive as $hit I still decided to do this job myself. I will post picks of the final product along with a pic of the lug nut when it was out of the box.
