Opinions: Drag Wheels

I haven't really heard any feeback on Drag wheels, I wanna hear some feedback positive, negative, whatever you've got I want to hear it. I've never really considered buying their products til I saw a wheel recently that I absolutely love

i run drag DR21's on my FitS. they look great, average weight.

im running them in the winter right now (caked in salt) and initially had
some very minor pitting on the lip which appears to be from some
salt/gravel i must've hit. it's only on the front wheels and none on
the back.

i was a little worried at first but has not worsened. ive been using spray
wax (Prima Hydro) every 10 days or so.

my recommendation: wash regulary and keep them waxed.

^^ i agree totally, for the price, i'd rock them. IMO, they are like rota rims, and konig. just another knockoff brand.

thats my thought, but the pricing seems so much lower than rota. I don't mind cheap wheels, I mean if I curb a cheap wheel who cares, but I curb a $500 volk, I'm gonna be pissed. I just want to make sure that they aren't so cheap that the paint doesn't adhear well, or that they don't scratch and bend extra easy?

it's much higher quality than ADR, that's for sure.

fyi, rota wheels are about US$8-10 for a 16x7 wheel
x-factory depending on the style and paint. so who do
you think makes the money? do you think people adding
more margin translates to better quality?

This is a good point, but where do these figures come from? Are they internal figures from Rota, or are they made up by someone who spends too much time on the internet?

I've had good experiences with Rota, but unfortunately my old wheels wont bolt up to the Fit

I'm just trying to make sure we're getting valid info. I've spent the past 4 years at cb7tuner.com and I guess its rubbed off on me more than I thought it would have.

a cheap wheel is a cheap wheel. nowadays rotas are kinda high priced when compared to others out there that are just like them. if you dont want rare JDM forged expensive wheels, why spend an extra $200 for a name brand that has fake wheels just like every other cheap company out there. my friend just ordered a set of rota meister knock offs, i told him about the ssk ones that look almost exactly the same for a lot cheaper. he kinda regrets it now.

well, even if you do reverse calculation you get in that ballpark.
doesn't take that much to figure this out if you've ever done
large volume manufacturing overseas. and i do that for a living.

My next question is where are they getting such a high grade of alluminum so cheap? Last time I looked even a 12" cube of alluminum was over $100

why dont you concentrate on getting which wheels you want
rather than trying to dissect the bill of materials? hahaha

I've seen some cars with Drag wheels on them. They do look good. I checked out the drag wheels online recently and saw that they have a knock off of the J Mag WOW I love that wheel. Since I don't want to spend for the "real J Mags" I'm very happy to see Drag coming out with the DR 27!! Even though it's not the real J Mag that still is a sexy wheel if I ever wanted to keep a 15" wheel on the FIT

peace,
