if i get the dr20s i am. i like the sportmax 501s too but i would get those in 15s. i wish there were some better pics of that black one above with the works on it. the 15s look good in that pic but there isnt much light on that side of the car in that pic.

**edit** did a quick search through racerdre's threads and i would prefer the 16s for my car.

yah, the crap they lay down on the streets are pretty severe... salt
and some kind of chemical de-icer these days. i'll plan on repainting
my set in the summer and use them as my winter set since they
have a/s tires on them.

in the mean-time, im thinking about just getting the real RPF1's from
TR with some s-drives for my warmer months. lower the weight of
the wheels at the same time..9.5lbs!

nice, i like the enkeis also, very lightweight, that was one of the reasons i liked the konig helium. im still having second thoughts on the drag because of the corrosion, and thinking the 5zigens will be a more durable rim, i dont know?

ive never tested 5zigens in the snow so not sure...

but wat i can say is that polished lips show more pitting than
painted wheels cause it doesn't have surrounding paint to hide
the blemish under...

so if you want to go low-end wheels i'd recommend a wheel
in dark color (bronze/gunmetal/black) and get non-polished lips.
that way even if you did have pitting you wont see it.

not that my wheels are looking like crap. unless i told someone
to look for it upclose they wont see the pitting...but i know its there
and need to refinish it when it gets warmer before the cancer
takes over the entire wheel.

japspeed- (and others) who might be interested in the Drag wheels...

im happy to say that the corrision (minor pitting) has not progressed.
same environment, roadsalt caked onto the car, washed only every
10days due to weather/temperature/road conditions.

what im using as far as wheel protection is Prima Slick and Prima Hydro.
there is a light coat of Prima WheelShield on there but Hydro is what
is protecting it most. this is not a off-the-shelf stuff.

Slick = QD
Hydro = Spray type wax (lasts well over a month)

very easy to use. after a wash just use a few squirts of Slick
and a papertowel to clean the wheel completely. then spray Hydro
lightly over the wheel and dry with a paper towel. that's all.
