Miata Wheels

Anyone know if I can run Miata wheels on my base Fit? They are 14x6 with 45 offset w/ 4x100 bolt pattern. Do I need to worry about brake calipers or anything?

Also wondering about Civic HX wheels if anyone happens to know more about them.

THANKS!

I have some Miata BBS wheels on my Fit and I had to bore out the center like 2mm around.

Hx wheels will NOT fit. The offset is too high and the caliper wont clear the rim spokes. My friend tried them on his Fit. Id also be worried about the spokes hitting the calipers on the Miata wheels. Plus the hub bore as smeister said.

Well that sucks! You can get them pretty cheap on eBay. Oh well.

Any other suggestions for used oem wheels from other cars? I know the older Civic SI wheels will fit, but I think they're pretty heavy.

These are the Enkei wheels with 8 spokes right? It looks like they have the same offset as stock (for the base) which I believe is 45. The stock wheels are 14x5.5 and I think the HX wheels are 14x6. I just want to make sure I don't pass up a good deal.

Yes those are the wheels. Stock offset for Fits are 55mm. (Sports at least)
The offset on Hx's is 50mm I believe. Either way they dont fit.

Almost any OEM wheel from Honda's will fit. Si's, Fat5's, GSR blades, LS's, as well as the many different Em1 wheels. Ive had Fat5's on my Fit. The rims look good but theyre too simple. Believe it or not, Si's (99-00) are one of the lightest OEM Honda 15's made.
I like LS 15's myself.

Ive gone from OEMs, my current Eurosports, Fat5's, 14in TSW's, and back to my Eurosports. Are you going for weight savings?

I havent weighed any of my rims. My 14's are light, Ill tell you that. Fat5's are pretty heavy. I also had 225/50/15's on them. Car drove the same with every set. Same MPG also.

I'm basically looking for something to replace the ugly steelies/ plastic hubcaps that come with the base Fit. I'd like to stay with something pretty light that is either oem or has an oem look to it...preferably a 14" so I don't have to buy new tires too. What are the "TSW's" you're talking about? By the way, thanks for all the help...you saved me from making the painful mistake of buying those HX wheels!

Found some Fat5's on eBay. Do you think it would be possible to bring these back to life?

Fat5's

How much are they worth?

No problems man... I was going to buy some a while back too, I figured they wouldnt fit since they didnt fit on my friends 92 Sentra. Then a friend of mine with a Fit said they wouldnt work.

I bought 14in TSW Quads from smeister above. I painted them Rio Yellow Pearl from the S2Ks and bought new tires. I wanted a new look.
Theyre 14x6 with a 35mm offset running on 205/60/14's.Took them off cause the handling went to hell. I think it was a combo of tall tires and the tires being all seasons; so they had a softer sidewall.

Im actually trying to sell these. If I put them back on Id do a crazy tire like 225/45/14's. They only come in road course tires though.

Here are the Fat5's. Mine looked a little better than the ones you showed me before I painted them. The faces were nicked up. Mine had 2 DR's on them and the others with no tires. I bought them for $200, sold used the DR's for $250.
Painted them bronze mist and left the OEM grey in the spokes. It looked good but it gave the car a Suzuki Aerio look and it just looked boring to me.

I like color. *Camera sucks, shes not pink.*

The only thing I really had going for me on these rims was the tire size. I took tires off BBS's wheels from my Mx-6. 225/50/15's so it gave my Fit a sick stance!
Rubbed a little of course.

There is a member on here with Fat5's polished out. Looks pretty good.
Id still suggest the LS meshies. I really want some but I dont like the higher offset. My next set of wheels are going to be 30mm or lower.
Im looking for some Sprint Harts.

EDIT... From the thread below. The polished Fat5's

And..... There goes my idea. Hahahah! :/
