sportmax 006s are beautiful but they only come in a 17x7" at the minimum. i have no idea what the offset is. is there anyway these wheels could be put on a fit with tanabe gf210 lowering springs and not rub?

Offset is 40, you'll have to roll the fenders and shave that mounting point.

Imitation wheels are not my cup of tea. Theyre kind of like shoes, where brand name does matter. Not trying to be cocky or arrogant, but I would just rather save up for the real thing. You fix up your car for it to look better than OEM and when you run cheap wheels I think that it makes the car look cheap. Go with SSR or Volk!

let me remind you that you're on a cheap $16k car. lol
buying expensive wheels for this car especially a dailydriver is
overkill unless you're going to race it and need the weight
reduction. imho.

im not gonna lie.

Buying expensive REAL wheels are great.

but its really a lot of work to worry about them all the dam time.

i hit a pot hole, i go crazy. i get all worried about them.

i just want to show them off at meets. other then that, im gonna have to rock other replicas so i dont have to worry so much about hitting a pot hole. because it would only cost me max 150 to replace a replica rim.

I'm running on the sportmax 962, 17x7 et 40, with 205/40 tires. I had no problem before I lowered the car, but after lowering it with swift springs, I do rub during faster then normal turn in's, and when I hit dips in the front. Not so much in the rear. The rear only seems to become a problem when I have people in the back. So these wheels will not allow you to drive fast or turn crazy at all, except how an old lady will take corners.

FYI, Sportmax wheels have been around for a long long time, and is well regarded in japan. They give you the best looking jdm style wheels for the price. Its no volk or ssr wheels, but you get what you pay for. I also have the volk gt-n in gunmetal. 17x7 et 44. Those with the same tires cost me almost twice as much as the sportmax, except that they are noticably lighter, but does not help with the rubbing during my fast turn in's.

Those 006's will look good on your car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend also did the same thing on his fit, and hardly rubs. He rolled the fenders, and relocated the mounting point, and pushed the fender lining up higher.

Sportmax wheels are heavy and you will really notice it. Not only in mpg, but also when driving up hills, highways, accerlation, etc. Plus, having stiffer springs or any lowering springs on 205/40 setup is really harsh. You will feel every crack, bump, rock....

If you're that concerned about weight, then go with the Sport Max 003's. The 15's are 10.8 lbs and the 17's are 15.1 lbs.
