It will be interesting to see if these ever take off. They certainly would be much lighter than traditional wheels which should dramatically improve acceleration and handling. It is also interesting that they say they can design vertical stiffness, (tire spring rate) independently from lateral stiffness (grip). In traditional tire/wheel combinations, these two parameters are directly related.

lol, they still have side mirrors (JK!)
It is a very interesting concept, but I havn't heard anything about the development of these tires since early 2005. I would suspect they are having problems keeping the tires from flexing in hard corners where traditionally a stiff sidewall would have reinforced the stability.

eBay Motors: Spoon Sports SW388's 15x6.5 4x100 civic/integra REAL! (item 120128991300 end time Jun-12-07 16:28:52 PDT)
Spoonsports.us lists the 15x6.5 +45 at $375 each. For the money I would get cold forged wheels instead (SW388 are made by 'shot alumnite' process).

Thinking of buying some rims
Which size is more suitable? 16" or 17"? Also, if I were to get the 17", which size is the tires? For those of you who have mods, what are you all using? Which brand is good?
Thanks a whole lot!

I think that 16's would look the best becasue I think 17's would weigh considerably more than the 16's. I think the specs are 16's are 205 and 17's should be about 215. I am not sure though I am still running with the stock 15's.
I am lookin at some 15 inch buddy club wheels that look good. So I believe the lighter the better.
