k thx

didnt see the tire and wheel section. i figured it was a style question anyway.
oh, and about me- i dont have a fit (yet(?)). i have a 1994 mazda miata

with light engine mods and some good suspension mods. the obvious panda color scheme, and i just got back from the tire shop with some new fuzions on my other pair of black racing 8 spoke wheels. now just imagine that in the 2 pics i put up, there are 4 8 spoke wheels and you get the idea...
anyways, this girl like creams her pants for my car, but every time i try to suggest a wheel for her, she doesnt like it.
i think the og oldschool mesh wheel would look great on her car (cant find a link right now), but she's not really down with that idea. she likes rota slipstreams alrightish, but you know... she could get a nicer wheel, like some sportmaxxes for the same price.

16x7 +42 w/ T1r Springs

I was just curious if anyone is running a 16x7 +42 (or similar) wheel with the T1r V2 Springs. If so, are you running 205/45/16 tires without any rubbing? Somone please help to confirm there is no rubbing with this set-up!

Thanks!

Ryan

Well other than the fact that your diameter is 16 and mine is 17, it is basically the same spec as my wheels...well your sidewall is a little bigger. I'm pretty sure it WILL rub in the back unless you grind off those stupid mounts in the back.

I have 16x7 +45 offset with 205/45/16 tires on T1R V1 springs and no rubbing. I think you would be fine with +42 offset.

I guess Ill play it by ear. If I have to grind the bolts or roll the fenders then I will.

I am running a similar setup with a +42 offset on a set of 17's with slight rub under more than about 350lbs of load (people or other).

a 205/40/R17 tire has a theoretical diameter of about 23.46"
(205*0.40 / 25.4 [convert to inches] * 2 [to account for both walls]) + 17 [tire diameter]

a 205/45/R16 tire has a theoretical diameter of about 23.26", so you should have a slight advantage, although I would expect you to have a similar problem when you try and move more than a couple of people.

If you are going to go with a wheel that has a 42+ offset I would almost reccomend using a 40 series tire to ensure you don't have any rub issues. Otherwise it seems that +45 offset is the safest way to go.

Cheers!

I'm confused. Thought you were waiting to get wheels? Anyway,, If I were you, Drop the car first and then get wheels.

But my choice is #1 in black or gunmetal, if not #2 is pretty sweet.

i love the FF7 in black, bought them for toyota in a 18in app. but for a Fit it seems like a heavy wheel but a hot wheel at that

according to wheelweights.net they weigh 22.5 lbs, don't know what the fit sports weigh, but these might throw off the handling and slow down your fit.

What size rotas to go with?

I am going to be getting some new wheels soon and I can't decide what size to get and what tire to match it up with. I will be doing some autocrossing with the car as well. I am wanting some rota circut 8's but don't know if I want the 15x6.5 or 16x7. Also with the tires for a 15 should I get 205/50/15? With the 16's should I get 205/45/16? Oh and gunmetal or bronze on an orange fit? Please help me out guys.
