With stiffer springs, I could have done all kinds of crazy wheel/tire combos without rubbing. The main problem is that a lot of guys have off the shelf lowering springs like Tanabe, Eibach, Skunk2, Vogtland, etc.

Those lowering springs are great for daily driving and looks, but when it comes to bumps and cornering, the body moves around and leans and compresses on the springs, and they compress almost like a stock spring. Bump up the spring rates with some aftermarket coilovers with linear spring rates, and that problem should go away.

Rubbing mostly occurs on the rear with 1 or more passenger, the fronts occasionally on bumps and dips.

I already got a new wheel/tire setup, 17x7.0 +43 Enkei RPF-1 wrapped in 205/40/17 Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tires. Surprisingly, these wheels don't rub at all in the rear, only rub in the front when I come across a dip or something.

ZIP TIESSSSSSS!
yes, jblood hood, removed the seat and belts, and they are custom Jlines that are 16x9.5 0 front, and 16x9.5 -42 rear. I also have endless calipers up front and a bunch of other goodies.

anyways...back to the fit...

16x7 +37 with 205. With 3 big dude in the back seat rub a tiny bit, but it rub.

From that. Use this to get an idea about fitment

Wheel Offset Calculator

NOW: if you use wider rims, then its a total different ball game, as in offset, stretching tires and etc....

actually I didn't even roll the front..I just lightly tugged out the fender aa bit and stuck the fender liner above the mounts on the top.

the rear I didn't heat it up...and I actually rolled it too much but I doesn't look wrinkled if you look closely(in person)...I think it's the angle of the photo. it's just pushed out on the top and the bumper is flat so it looks funny. i'll be fixing it tomorrow or day after when I get more time. I think I could of gotten a way without rolling it since the tire is stretched on a 8j unless I lower it more.

sitting on df210 on the rear and swift up front so it's an even 1.3 drop all around.

planning to put the df210 on the front and cutting a coil off a coil on the rear to make it sit a little lower.

LoL, my work equip III just arrived. It's 15x8 +20 for the front and 15x8 +10 for the rear. I am going to make some fender flares (think mini cooper) and stretch them a bit on 195/50/15 advan neovas...
