Can you put 15" tires on the rims of a Fit Basic

I have 15" tires on my 1990 Civic Si, with Honda stock wheels. Can I trade those wheels/tires with the wheels/tires on my Basicfit?

Or, with one tire size 14 and the other 15, is the wheel size different?

How about the lug hole positions?

Thanks

It shoudl be ok. The Fit SPort has 15x6 rims with an offset of 55. (it's stamped right on the OEM rims) so as long as the civic ones are the same, your shouldnt' ahve a problem since the Fit Sport has 15 and/or 16 PLUS a body kit.

Yeah, I was hoping it would be ok. Of course, it will be April before I get a Fit, and the Si tires my need to be replaced by then!

Thanks...

Ok, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, so I'm going to try and help a few different ways.

Your title asks if you can put 15" tires on the rims of a base fit, which are 14" rims. The answer to that is absolutely not. You can not put R15 tires on a 14" rim.

I think the first part of your post asks if you can put the 15" wheel/tire combo you currently have on your 1990 Civic Si on your base Fit and the 14" wheel/tire combo from the Fit to your 1990 Civic Si. The answer to that is yes you can, provided the 15" rims on your Si will clear the brake calipers of the Fit and vice versa.

The second part I don't quite understand. Are you wanting to run a staggered setup? 14" rim/tire in from and 15" rim tire in back? or Vice versa? If that's the case, technically yes you can. Why would you? Well, that's really up to you to decide.

As for the last part, they should both be 4x100 bolt pattern.

I hope I'm understanding your question correctly.

yes you can

I got Si wheels from a 99' on my fit and they fit like a charm. No rubbing and even running one size larger than the stock Sport model...but my car is NOT lowered, so be careful!
