got the rotors, pads, and calipers in... it appears that i need to order the ebrake arms that attach to the rotors as well... i don't think that will slow me down from doing a test fit however...

i am currently painting the brackets and will TRY to do a test fit wed/thurs evening...

Ugh... How did I not see this thread? -.-

Regarding the earlier comment about parking brake cables... if I remember right (its been a few MONTHS) Fast Brakes uses the cables from the EP3 SI's. No knowledge of whether they were plug and play or need to be modified.

^hootie - could you check into that for us? i'm in the middle of a move and trying to get these brake lines sorted i could use some assistance...

i got the calipers assembled with pads tonight (cute little things), and finished painting the brackets with some eastwood chassis black (the brackets that you all will be able to get will be electroplated)...

once i confirm fitment, i'll measure for the brake lines and try to measure for the parking brakes... then i'll order brake lines, parking brake lines, and parking brake arms...

Hey guys, a little late on replying about the parking brake cables...

According to Honda's part spec list, the EP3 Si's cables are about 34 inches in length and the GD3's is about 19 inches... Which does not quite make any sense... I need to see where they're measuring from to get those numbers.

Did a little more searching here on Honda's parts site... It seems as if the 8th Gen Civic coupe w/ rear discs may work in our favor while checking out the size specs. Will post up screen shots of the specs later tonight...

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. Been busy with work and STILL don't have internet at my new place.

Now to the meat and potatoes... Here in the images below are the specifications via Honda's parts catalog of the left (driver side) parking brake cable on 4 recent model Hondas including our GD3 as a reference.

GD3 Fit - *part number shown is for the right side (47510-SLN-A01) but specs are the same as left (47560-SLN-A01)*.

EP3 Civic SI - Earlier in this thread I noted that Fast Brakes may use these cables. I am not a bit skeptical about this due to the dimensions listed from Honda. If an EP3 rolls in at work I will investigate.

ZF1 CR-Z - This one I was curious about since the CR-Z DOES use the same rear caliper as the Fit in other markets. Going by Honda's specs, these look to be too short.

FG1/FG3 Civic Coupe - Sizing wise this is the CLOSEST I've seen to what we have on the GD3. All of the coupes run the same parking brake cable so it should be fairly easy to source if someone has a You-Pull-It near by and would like to try this.

I hope this helps everyone.

Im patiently waiting to see this outcome. Im getting to a point where I will need to do my rear brakes and may just opt to do the disc conversion instead.

test fit will be this morning as long as all goes well... this will test to ensure that the bracket fits and is secure, that the rotors, pads, and calipers that were researched fit, and to see how long the brake lines and parking brake cables need to be as well...

very impressed with the brackets... fitment is excellent, and it's really quite easy... the most time intensive part is going to be the parking brake cables by far... i'll be researching the brake lines and brake cables soon... any and all help in the brake cable department would be of invaluable help...

link to a very very brief video:

alright here is the first visual fruit of the labor:
