Skunk 2 lowering springs... Anyone have these?

Just wondering if anyone had this mod. Pretty decent price @ $219. Your impressions and pics would be nice.

Here's the link: http://www.skunk2.com/Merchant2/merc...oduct_Count=11

Thank you

Then too soon for anyone to have them on their Fit outside of Skunk themselves.

Thanks for the bump, and thread jack . No big deal but I'd send out a pm for something like this. Forum etiquette you might call it.

Only thing Iam worried about would be the shocks/struts wearing out very early and I see none avaliable at this time..

I was just going to ask that Silverworm. How are these Stock Struts/Shocks with the lowering springs. And does anyone know if Skunk 2 springs are ok for daily driver, but a daily driver who likes mods!?!

That is definitely something to worry about.

I'll tell you though, I installed H&R lowering springs on my S2k using the oem shocks and got over 45K miles on them without them wearing out. This included one track event at Streets Of Willow. I could've put more miles on them but I swaped out the suspension for some Tein RA's after the track event. Who knows how long they would've lasted.

The quality of oem shocks for the Fit might be a little different. I would think that by the time our shocks/struts wear out, their will be a decent selection of replacements for us. Hopefully.

Springs + Struts would be about the same price as coils, correct?

Maybe. I'll just comment with what I'm familiar with. A popular mod with S2k's were to get your choice of lowering springs (H&R, Eibach, etc...) and couple it with Koni dampers. Springs were usually $200-ish and the Konis around $600-700 from what I remember. Which would bring it to about $800-ish total. An entry level coilover set ran about $950 (Buddy Club and Tein) A good set of coilovers ran about $1200+ (Tein RA's, KW Variants)

As far as the Fit, my plan is to get springs and as soon as they wear-out (dampers) or I feel the need to upgrade to coilovers I'll swap them out and sell the springs.

I'm suffering from the "mod bug" for my Fit

I have emailed Koni to check if they have anything available but haven't heard back yet.
Although I saw somewhere Koni had a coilover sleeve advertised for a Fit. Can't remember where I saw it and I can't find it again. But Koni has no such thing on their website either.

i googled "coilover for honda fit" and came up with this
http://www.modacar.com/products/Hond...co_comp_s.html
i don't know enough about it to review it though...
Basically my question would be, is this going to have the separate struts/shock and spring like we have it will it be all together?

Installed them on Saturday. A small amount of rubbing when I am going too fast through dips i nthe road. But nothing major, I really like the drop and the price is right.
