I'm happy that all the time and $$$ I've spent at alignment shops can help out others

My impression on public roads:
Car is more neutral, less understeer in corners and less body roll which inspires confidence.
I still need to try it out in an auto-cross and/or a track day ( if I can get better bakes)
Coming from Subaru STI as a daily driver, I am used to power, nothing replaces power
So...handling and confidence wise ( of course fuel economy..etc), I am happy with my Fit
But now I am looking a little bit more power, like 20 more ponies at the wheel would make a significant difference
Any non radical opinions? Not looking for an engine swap or something like that
Thanks

Searching the forum, people talk about turbo/superchargers and other speak about K20 engine swap...etc
What is the general consensus agreed on this forum regarding successful power mod? ( very general question lol)

Build your own. warning, long read:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...rbo-build.html
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/othe...turbo-kit.html
AFAIK there are no bolt-on kits for LHD GE8 yet. There is a RHD GE8 kit from HKS but I don't think it would fit on LHD without modification because the brake booster is in the way? It's expensive anyway.
Cheaper to build your own or have someone design one for you (that knows what they're doing). Maybe DiamondStarMonsters can help you on here.

Here is why, like Honda's new R series, the L15A7 engine in your Fit has the exhaust manifold runners cast as part of the head.
Combine that with an ECU that is TOO smart and de tunes any simple bolt on's ("Intakes," axle back exhausts) AND two inline catalytic converters...
There really is no simple or un involved method of adding power to the GE model Fit's.
This site has an excellent article on the L15A7 engine tech (I stole the info from here ) : Honda L-Series SOHC i-VTEC Engines for the new GD Honda Fit/Jazz
There are two methods for more power... K swap ( no swap that I know of has yet to be completed into a GE chassis in the US) OR a piece together Forced Induction sytem. There are several threads here on FF of folks who have completed simple turbo builds, and there are parts out there if you know where to sleuth: Neukin AX Honda Fit L15A7 Turbo Manifold
If you decide to go boostu, search for the build threads of user Lyon[Nightroad] as he documented the process well!!!

Wow... I typed that up and forgot to post, I see Wanderer beat me mostly too the punch...
mike410b and mkane also have good points...
If you want to squeeze more out of the GE, MORE POWER TOO YOU!!!! Just know that right now there is NO easy button

Usually on such a small displacement 4cyl like our cars, a CAI will make the throttle response slightly laggy...
2 things you can do, try looking into an electronic throttle controller. The Fit has a Drive By Wire throttle body, and there are a few folks out there (including one on this forum some where) that sell a relay/box that you plugin that changes the signal pattern (spikes the voltage really) and that can help improve throttle response.
The 2nd thing, is that the GE actually has ducting in the hood, that pulls fresh outside air to behind the battery, near the OE intake box. This system is quite effective actually, but the only aftermarket intake to take advantage of the factory ducting is the PRM Intake. I believe some one has a used one up at a great price in the classifieds right now!

PRM SRI + Spoon TB?
PRM Jet Stream? Intake Systems
A&J Racing :: Engine :: Throttle Bodies :: Spoon Venturi Throttle Body - Honda Fit 09-11 (GE8)
I mean if you don't mind spending money lol

BUT, I had TOTALLY forgotten about that
Then again, on the GD, it isn't even really worth messing with our TB until you start moving a whole heck of a lot more air, like 10+ pounds of boost more IIRC.

Yeah i'm assuming like intakes for GE8 it won't help much with power on a stock motor but thought it might help with throttle response coupled with the short ram. I am not sure how much the venturi effect would help with this either.
If nothing else it will probably sound cool
