Thanks for the heads up on these shocks and Tokico's wicked sale. Purchased a set last night. Any recommendations on springs while I'm in there? Car is 99% daily driver and 1% canyon carver with 75k miles on it.

Sweeeet! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! I may finally be "upgrading" from this setup in 2013.... soon as I settle on spring rates

Haha, looks like I converted another person over to the HTS's today as well: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...sion-help.html

Do you think anyone would want my used pair? Since they will have near 60K on them when they come off I doubt I'll sell them though LOL

yeah at that mileage, they're probably worth more to you than anyone else... i was going to wait for the koni's, but i was tired of not knowing what was going on with them, and i don't need all that dampener... mine's a fun dd at best...

btw - save yourself some money and: DIY Coilover Covers

Looking at all these prices of aftermarket parts, I am considering to relocate to your country.... so much cheaper than AUS hehe

I have one silly question. With the Progress RSB, is it equivalent to Rear Anti Roll Bar being named at Progress Tech Website? I am trying to find one to purhcase for GE8 but cannot find RSB.

Also, would any mind to direct me a link to a platform on discussion of DIY GD Tokico Shock on GE8 please? I hope its not too late to pick up the 70%

Thanks

FINALLY got everything installed this week. On Monday, my buddy and I started on the front struts. We did the install after work, and because the sun goes down so darn early nowadays we did the entire thing in the dark. I pulled up the many DIY writeups and that helped a lot. We knew what not to do to ensure the axle wouldn't pop out. I had jack stands, AND bungee cords and we somehow managed to disconnect it. Took us about an hour to put it back in, and it took us about 5 hours total for the driver's side. When we worked on the passenger side it only took us 30 minutes! It was around midnight when we finished so the rears would have to wait for another day.

I installed the rears yesterday all by myself. It was a breeze. Most confusing part was getting the spring out. I discovered the trick was to step down on the rotor while pulling it out.

I'll say that my money was very well spent! The drop with the Swift springs is perfect. I couldn't imagine going any lower. I like that it still looks stock. I'm still playing around with the dampening settings, but 5 was way too soft, full firm was way too rough for bumpy roads. Right now I'm at 3 front and rear and I like it a lot. Feels a little firmer than stock but the ride doesn't feel sacrificed. I've been taking the same on/off ramps and not only can I take them at higher speeds, but it also feels effortless. When I take a hairpin right I don't feel the car swaying left anymore (and vice versa). Going over freeway markers isn't loud and clunky anymore like on the stock shocks. Feels like an entirely different car. As a passenger, my fiance even said that it feels more stable and safe!

My old tires 205/45/16 Falken Ziex were pretty much shot. Ordered some 195/50/16 Kumho Ecsta 4X a few months back and I got them installed today. I wanted better mpg and more comfort without sacrificing performance. With the higher treadware rating I could already tell a difference in how much less I have to press on the gas pedal to keep the car going. Road noise and been decreased and I can only imagine performance has only gotten better. So far loving the entire setup. Getting an alignment on Monday. New Centric rotors and Hawk HPS brake pads coming in the upcoming months.

Full car shots coming later after the rain stops and I have time to detail her a bit.

Blurred Visionary did you ever get your setup installed?

Also, as an FYI For AutoX I run the fronts at 3 turns and the rear at full
