Project mu brake kit

Yes they fill up those rims....And I'm sure the stopping distance will decrease significantly. But in all honesty, they aren't a necesity but if you can stop "sooner" then that might change the outcome of an traffic incident. The FIT is what it is, it gets great gas mileage BUT is lots of fun to drive. While it will never compare to a Supra TT being able to brake harder, go into a deep curve deeper, late brake later, that Fun level will increase even more. And hey they look great too. I want to look good, in my Fit. 17" rims with 40 rubber, lowered on coilovers, and that huge open space behind those rear rims just stands out so much. Having 4 wheel disc brakes improves performance, and they look great too.

According to Project-mu's site, the set is the Racing Caliper 4-piston MINI. They're 4 35.5mm sealed pistons/2 pads in an aluminum bracket, w/ 282x31mm rotors. The kit comes w/ PVC coated Teflon brake lines, the rotors, the calipers, racing or street pads, and the necessary bolts for your car. With today's rates, price works out to about $2025.00 USD, part number for the set is CSH-307. I would imagine if you had these shipped here (assuming you could order them) you're looking at least another coupla' hundred bucks.
Here's the page for them, scroll down a bit to find the MINI's: http://www.project-mu.co.jp/product-...er/racing.html
Look good though, they'd match my shift knob then!

Also, just to stray off-topic a bit, the Japanese will run anything on a track, minivans included. Here's some pics of the owner's current-model JDM Odyssey from the same site as the brakes above. After that, download and check out this vid of him racing it and wasting an FD3S, a Legacy wagon, and a older Civic hatch. Gotta love it! Odyssey racing vid

The Japanese tend to lump hatchbacks and minivans together as one group, hence the site name.
