Mugen 5-way rear suspension squeak
This last weekend, I’ve finally installed the 5-way adjustable suspension on my 2007 Sport Fit that I had laying around for over a year. When I took it for a test drive, I heard a soft clunk and a squeak. The clunk turned out to be the e-brake cable from the T1R rear disc conversion. The ½” lowering was enough for the cable to start hitting the chassis. I bought a packet of stainless steel zip-ties from Home Depot and used them to hold the cable down to the arm. $5 for a pack of 10.
I still have the squeak. I don’t like noised! I’ve looked around, but could not find anything wrong. My theory is that maybe I put the rear springs in up-side-down. Have any one of you installed the Mugen 5-Way suspension on your cars? I’ve installed the springs with the protected (about a coil and a half covered with a plastic sleeve) end down. Should that have been to the top? Can someone help me out? Thanx…
