is there any difference between all the c-pillar bars, besides brand names & prices?

It looks like they all mount to the rear seat shoulder harness attachment bolt...The car body is made of steel, so I looked for a steel bar. Thermal expansion and elastic modulous were my big thing. Yes, they mount up high, but if made properly, light too. I've got Ultra Racing's C-pillar bar in my ride.

I got mine on eBay for 20$ and was the best handling mod I did even better than lowering. But that's how it feels to me and the two of my fronds I let drive my car

so practically all of them are the same, the price difference is because of the brand names.

the cheap ones have flimsy bars, like they flex if u pull on it, but the whole point if a c-pillar bar is for lateral bracing, so it does the trick...

you can tell a cheap one vs an expensive one

You get what you pay for man. You can find a good bar for a fairly cheap price.

I've the Beatrush and that mofo is solid. I can grab it and shake the whole car. I recently got one of those generic bar fro free I'm using as a cross bar. The generic one flex like hell when I shake it.

It really depend what u wanna get the bar for? Do you go to Track? Do you race for money? Do you really turn hard on every corner? If not, just get the inexpensive one. Unless you got no where else to spend your money.

Cheap one might not be as light as others, might not be as stiff as others. come on, it is still a metal bar how weak can that be.

Yeah but if its main job is to reinforce something why go with the lighter/weaker one? kind of defeats the whole idea. But I guess if its just for show then get the cheap one.

Actually the expensive one should be light and stiff
Cheap one should be a little more weight and less stiff.

But I really don't think you can tell the difference. at normal driving. I am sure no one will do 50mph for cornering at local road. So like I said before if you don't go to track or race for money. Really no point to get the expansive one unless you like the look.

My point being, If youre buying something for reinforcement why go cheap and get something weaker. Im only really compairing advanced speed shops $13 bars against say tanabe or ultra racing's $100-150 bar..

very true, but for that extra 90 bucks you are paying for it might be 0.1PSF stronger than the cheaper version. so to me, I really don't think it worth the money. If really need to reinforce the car then B-pillar is really not enough for the purpose.
