Showa Sport

I want a set of showas, digging around the web it seems that the only ones available in N.A. are the mugen or spoon versions. From the Showa Tuning site it appears they are available in Japan. http://www.showa-tune.com/product-2.htm it

The JDM sites don't list them. Any ideas on how to get a set imported?

Kylerwho and myself are trying to find prices for different set-ups but I was quoted $950 before shipping by a showa distributor. Let me know if you would like some contact information. The price quote was for a GE8 so the price should be less for a GD3.

$950 isn't too awful bad considering the mugen ss is over $1200 before shipping. That did include springs didn't it?

The $950 would be with springs and you can get the mugen set up through rhdjapan which would be a little over 1,300 shipped. I sent a pm to you.

The way I understand it Showa Tuning sells a full suspension kit in either Sport or Comfort tune for GDs - so yeah, springs should be included. No ride height or damping adjustment as on a coilover set, but otherwise it's similar.

That's what I'm looking for, a set of sport tune, just plain 'ol red showa sports. It seems that other than showa motorcycle suspension, there is no N.A. distribution channel. I wish I had the bucks to set one up, I'll bet there is an untapped market here.

Any of you guys know about the Modulo Sport suspension? Japanparts.com has a special going on and it seems like it would be a good deal on a set of spring and shocks. Though it says it lowers about 1" and the shocks are by Showa. Any info would be great.
