Defect rear disk conversion T1R

Like stated in the topic, i have a defect rear caliper. I did a rear disk brake conversion from t1r about a yr ago. No problems till the brake light came up. i top of the brake fluid then i looked under there was a leeked on the rear passenger side. I had it checked by a professional brake specialist. And i supposely have a leek coming from the seal in the right side rear. called t1r they were planing on sending me a another caliper, but now there suppliers say they stop making them, so nor t1r has extra and there suplliers dont make them. Now there telling me there just going to send me a seal repair kit.

With that being said, what do i do?

I would just rebuild it.
A disc brake caliper rebuild is pretty straight foward.
If you can't DIY take the caliper off and bring it to a brake specialist.

But yeah it sucks yours is leaking after only a year.

Here's something on rebuilding honda calipers to give you a idea.

Rebuilding brake calipers

It is just a straight forward change. You just need to diss-amble it and re-install. One thing, you just need to make sure everything is clean when you put it back together.

caliper

Fitmaster is right, they are the same calipers off the Integra. I think the years are 98-04, but I'd double check on that. Jodele would know. look for his threads on this forum. I personaly have not had success w/ re-building calipers/master cylinders since you're basically just replacing the seals. Often times the leak is from pitting of the cylider surface around the seal, so it might hold for a while w/ the new seals, but then leak again. Good luck.
