tweaking caster
Hi all,
it happens I have recently got a Whiteline Anti Lift Kit installed on my "working" car (a Skoda Octavia, which shares its platform with the Golf V).
This kit essentially adds more caster to front suspension, so that handling, steer precision and stability is greatly improved. Sadly Whiteline isn't producing the kit for my Honda 2007 Jazz/Fit.
Are you aware of something similar for first generation Fit?
TIA,
Stefano

sorry but theres noy to adjust caster on our car without adjusting it with camber and it won't really br a true reading unless you do the rear first. but there are no oem adjustment you can use the shims in the rear but it does 2 degrees give or take. so good luck on this you really cant adjust the caster on the front of our 1st gens. only camber and toe.also you can only adjust the front camber with camber bolts

Thanks for feedback, first of all.
Anyway, look at this: http://www.nolathane.com.au/bulletins/Update%201025.pdf
I've always been disturbed by the non existent realignment of my Jazz steering wheel and hope(d) this might fix it!

that really wont do anything its not shifting the lower control arm. the way our control arms are set up wont work. we dont have A control arms like on the older civic but nice try?

the fits lower control arm is not the same as a civic. there is no adjustments with caster. the only way you can adjust it is threw camber that is all. what you showed in the earlier thread is a bushing witch is not going to do anything.
fit lower control arm
civic control arm
what you are trying to use is a bushing that will not do anything for your caster. thats why everyone i repeat everyone on the forum says that the fit sucks cause only camber and toe are adjustable!
on the suspesion side.

the rear lca bushing w/ caster adjustment:
it will adjust the caster a bit, but will also change the camber, toe, and bump steer at the same time... not the best solution to do it on our control arms, but a good find nonetheless...
nice find on the bushings stephano.... those are the first set of poly bushings i've seen for the fit's lca's... PLEASE let me know how much the front (45658) and standard rear (45659) bushings are when they email you back...

Hi all,
nxtfit_08 I don't know if you've read what's described on the link provided, I found this interesting: http://www.nolathane.com.au/susp_ident_images/16.jpg
@Scott, of course I will as soon as they're back... On my previous Octavia I had installed a whiteline kit that increased caster. Well I got a lot of advantages: more traction (no more "axletramp"), way more precise and "meaty" steering. I know this bushing will only be able to add a tiny caster amount, but - as you state - better than nothing...
Ciao,
Stefano
