EDIT: I just realized your question to lol I have exactly around 15,000 miles on the shocks and GF210 springs
I have this set up and have been running it for 5-6 months. I honestly have been doing backroad crazy touge driving with friends in the summer EVERY WEEKEND lol. My shocks are still fine too. I would say just invest in coilovers now because eventually you will be getting them like most people so why not do it right the first time.

usually with sport springs you can get 50-60k outta stock shocks on most cars. But much after that they will start leaking and squeakin. You can pick up a set of tokico blues for cheap when they do go out, or switch to air shocks in the rear for better ride and adjustable load handling

do you scrape your front lip? ekk that one of the things i was also worried about.

if you are lowered, that is a risk you take. there probably isnt any paint on the underside of my front lip, but you cant see that when standing there, or even if you are parallel w/ the front lip. only when you look under the car, or it is jacked up

yeah right after i put the springs on a friend and I went for a test drive. During that drive (which was 20 minutes) i scraped it like times LMAO i wasn't used to the height. Now i really don't hit the lip since I'm so used to it. One thing that i usually hit is my resonator on my Megan B-Pipe. That thing hangs low! Imma fix that problem though.

The 2009 fits have a decently stiff spring rate to them compared with the previous years. And no matter what anyone tells you, the shocks would have been made to handle at least the rate of the stock springs. So what you need to do is figure out the stock spring rate, and the rate of the springs you are going to buy. Then there is no opinion, only fact. I have been trying to do the same thing but I cant friggin find the spring rates of the stock springs of the 2009. Anyone know?
Progress says there springs will be available for sale in February. I'm going to wait for them either way. Maybe they can tell us the stock spring rates?

ok.. i've got the springs. i've also read that using a jack to hold up the ball joint/wheel hub to prevent the axle from popping out.. since i don't really want to tie it from the chassis. have anyone just jacked up the balljoint/wheel hub? and successfully remove the front strut? =] almost done.

yes! i finally installed mines for 5 hours. damn! i felt so lonely by myself. could've called my friends up but i knew they were working. the axle pop out but it wasn't too hard to push it back in only took 3-5 mins. =D
anyways. i was wondering about the rear springs.. the more coiled facing bottom or the more coiled facing top? cause i installed mines more coiled on facing the bottom?
