J's Racing C-Pillar Review for Fit/GD3
continued from https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-suspension-brakes/35726-t1r-front-sway-bar-fit-gd3-review.html
I got another new toy this week. This thread will be updated after the install. Too bad I couldn't find a group thread for builds in this forum.
I ordered this directly from J's Racing in Japan.
Not that big of a box.
J's Racing's idea of great packaging material. At least its JDM.
I think including instructions is better than not even if the instructions are in Nihongo.
Nice finish with gold/bronze links. Fake or real? J's Racing laser engraves their logo right onto the bar.
A little J's Racing promo stuff for my shop. Racing does go on.
*And yeah... I changed my avatar for 2009.

Installed!
Have to remove the seat belt bracket covers first.
Right side too.
Done.
Most important part. The engraving needs to face outward. *You can adjust the length of the bar.
I reviewed the diagram provided by J's and it appears that you have to cut the covers partially to replace them. Rather than screwing that up & making it look ugly, I'll just leave it as is with the bolts showing.
Drove it briefly on the highway. Performance gains are minimal. The body seems a bit stiffer. Don't expect to be taking down any DC2/EGs soon. Yaris or xD for sure! Nice cosmetic look and it doesn't hinder the rear window anymore than Honda already did with the bad design.
If anyone is interested in this mod in California, I can do the install + part for $206 + sales tax.
Rating: 4.2/5.0
NEXT INSTALL: Spoon ETD, J's Racing GT Wing

They're not knock-offs. They are Signal Auto seat belt pads. I hate knock-off stuff, especially Rotas.

yours is either an older version w/out the engraving or its fake. i'll check with J's if they made earlier versions w/out the engraving

If you want to haul stuff, get a Ford F150.
Take a look of where the bar is mounted & you'll get a good idea of how much clearance there is based upon the photos.
One of the best mods. I think; in comparison to all the other bars that I've installed so far.
