What do suspension mods do to improve a car? Also what parts are needed to do so?

well, most suspension mods start off just to make the car look better
by reducing the wheel gap between the fender and tire. it looks tighter
that way.

but when you do, most often times it negatively impacts the suspension
functionally so you need to compensate for that by using extensive
parts to re-adjust to the new suspension travel, height, and alignment.
if done right, the car will not only look better, it will ride nicer while
maintaining drivability. i run the EnduraTechs and called it a day.

then you got the other folks who are performance oriented. those
usually start off swapping out tires, then dampers, then try playing
with the swaybar settings. it's a different approach.

if you're happy with how the car looks and feels i would leave it alone
cause once you get into these mods, it's a very long journey until you
get it 'just right.' Honda did a lot of experimenting and put in their
know-how to get the car to perform at the level it does out of the box.
it should work well for pretty much everyone like you who do not know
much about these mods (i dont mean to sound arrogant). if you want
to take the plunge, make sure you prep your wallet as well.

goodluck.

Also some more info about what you have and are looking for could be helpful. Is your car an 07-08, or the new 09? Are you looking for Maximum performance? The lowered look? Some more performace with stock ride height?

Check my suspension threads before buying any parts.

It helps to understand how the suspension works before modifying it in any way. "And knowing is half the battle"
