Seller told me they are 15-20% stronger then stock and are perfect for Eibach springs...
Don't forget we are talking about street suspension; if you want more you have to choose other...
Anyway I'll let you know my impressions as soon as I put them up.
I think that they are better then Tokico and others, however....

Couple other KYB products that I found awhile ago:
L¥H¥S Žå—vŽÔŽí•i”ÔE‰¿Ši•\

And I do believe there are NEW SR special dampers available for the GD1/GD3 also. I would recommend the J's racing(showa)setup too if anyone of u looking for a damper kit. The ride feels firm but not bouncy on the J's setup.

do you need to bore out the rear shock bottom holes?
yah, if you're going for unmatched springs (springs made by different
manufacturers) typically you want to get adjustable dampers.
keep us posted on how it goes.

I'm fully satisfied with these shocks.
Not soft not too hard. Perfect with Eibach springs..
A negative side is that you have to modify the sway bar link (in picture is shown the original) cause anterior shocks are different (like spoon..)!

I'm interested to see how these hold up on a lowered car. When I had my Jetta the argument about KYB on lowered applications was never ending on VWVortex.com. I went with KYB AGX (which were adjustable, five steps in the rear and ten in the front) with H&R Sports springs. The ride was OEM, just 1.5 inches closer to the ground, I loved them! The car developed Vw-itis and I traded it in before I could really get a feel for durability though.

Regarding durability I don't know, because I have always had other brands on my cars. I'll post pictures as soon as I change my old tires....

Well, for starters it was a mk IV, so everything that could go wrong with it, did. I spent more money on that car in repairs than I did in car payments. The short list is as follows: water pump ( and timing belt, but I don't count that) tie rod ends, steering rack, head gasket (which necessitated 1,100$ machining of the head after it warped) countless rear light bulbs, one headlight wiring harness (OE, not after-market) Two complete sets of coil packs, four sets of spark plugs, one O2 sensor. The car was a LEMON, which really sucked because it looked bad-ass and drove like a dream (when it ran) I bought it from Carmax with 48K on it and traded it in 10 months later with 74,889 sadder, but wiser....
Oh and sorry for the thread-jack.
