underbrace

check out this underbrace.

i was searching through stuff and found this for the fit and thought it might be a good addition. it's ultra lightweight, and it will definitely stiffen the chassis on the front end. does anyone have this on their car and are able to post pics?

Yeah I got the T1R version of that bar. If you add that bar to a upper strut brace the car you will notice much improved steering response. My car has Skunk2 lowering springs, T1R lower bar like this one and upper Cusco Strut Tower bar and it reacts like a fly on crack when I'm using my race tires at the track.

hahahaha a fly on crack! thats funny. i have this bar too. its a really good mod to have. after installing, there is a noticeable difference in handling characterisics.

Hehehe. I LOVE how my Fit handles at the track. With sticky tires you can literally just toss it around and it stays so planted, and the tail end just TRIES to kick out but it stays in its place. Its truly a fun car at the limit with good sticky tires.

I can kiss the local STI's bumpers if they pass me on the straight and we dive into the infield one behind the other. Some of the guys at the track kid that if I had a boosted K20 with an LSD I could pose a real threat. To bad I don't have the money for this hobby right now. I haven't hit the track in 8 months.

For those with the Tanabe lower front bar.
Where does it mount to?
How's the quality of the bar?

i don't have the tanabe bar but i think i can answer your questions.

it's a lower arm bar so like other lower arm bars, it probably mounts using the original bolts that hold the control arms to their pivot points underneath the car.

i'm gonna throw out a guess for your next question. it's a bar so i doubt there's much to be unsatisfied about when it comes to quality, and it's tanabe so it's probably a decently made bar.

paid a shop $85 to do it for me. Yeah I'm lazy and I probably would've broken something. No noticeable difference yet. I'll really test it out when I get the front strutbar

congrats on having it installed, though i think the shop was being greedy charging $85 for it. honestly, rotating the tires is more difficult and time-consuming than installing a lower arm bar. but i guess all that matters is that if you feel it was worth it to save the trouble, then it's all good.

yeah they took their time installing it I was noticing. I guess he was feeling as lazy as I was. Oh well, it's done and it's professional so yea, it's all good. With every bar I add, the car gets stiffer and bumps suck more lo, but on/offramps are massive fun. I gotta get out of Jersey.
