*Personal* Eibach Review!
*This is my personal review on the springs I chose to install. My opinion may vary from other users, that is why it is MY personal review.*
Well, after 2 years of owning my car and driving around stock...I decided to dive in and get some springs. I have been a past owner of Tein (was my favorite), Skunk2, Ground Control and Swift....never Eibach.
There were a good amount of spring companies to choose from and cost was a factor. After reading review after review of personal choices in lowering springs, I chose to go with the Eibach Pro set. The price was comperable and the drop was what i was looking for, so I went with them.
Initially, when I got the springs, I was impressed just by the quality of the spring itself. Call me odd, but the color of the spring was impressive and somewhat different, which is a big plus in my book.
Now for the install...
Start to finish, it took all of about 45 minutes to complete (could be longer depending on experience). The instructions were straight forward and didn't keep me guessing on what to do and what goes where....short and sweet.
Once i cleaned up the mess in the garage, I had to take a step back and look for myself at the stance. WOW, what an improvement just in the stance alone.
Now for the driving...
I first took it for a short drive expecting it to be super bouncy, boy was I wrong. I got back home to tell my wife that the ride was comfortable, and I would be back as I needed to get some more drive time. So I ventured off through some roads I knew to be pretty bad to see how it reacted to shit road conditions, PASSED! I still wasn't satisfied there, I thought i might just be tricking myself into believing they felt good. So i headed for the Ortega Hwy. I knew how the car handled on that road completely stock as i travel it once a week to hit the beach and have always been somewhat satisfied. Once i started up the mountain, i told myself the handling would be the same.........uhh, no. The handling improved IMMENSELY! It was truly like night and day. It had less body roll, handled better, reacted better and made me 100% pleased I had chose these springs for my Fit.
Wait, it doesn't stop there....does it rub? Wasn't sure so i had to tell the wife and kids to get off their arses and we needed to go for a ride. Packed myself in, threw the kids in the back and headed for the Ortega once more. I can say for me, with STOCK tires @ 195/55-15 on 15x7 +40et...loadeded with the wife and kids, we didn't rub and the handling was just as good. (no camber kit or allignment was done. allignment wasn't needed in my case)
So all in all, I have had an absolutely positive experience installing and will continue enjoying the ride quality that Eibach offers. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being best....I can honestly give it a 10. I highly recommend these to anyone.
ps, i usually do not do reviews...but these pleased me THAT much! And no...I don't work for Eibach.

good review man! I too am running on the pro kit I'd say pretty much what you said from what I experienced on the springs. although I did use camber kit on mine and had it aligned. nice wheels BTW.

i would have used a camber kit and alignment on mine...but the camber is fine for now and the alignment is PERFECT!. once i do the camber kit, I will get it re-aligned
Ty for the compliment, William!

in case anyone reading would like this information, i went to get it aligned at lunch.
results: nothing other than the toe needed adjustment. everything was within factory specifications with the exception of the toe. spending $50 on the alignment saved me $40 on the camber bolts

Ground control has a coilover kit for our honda fit, but thats just the springs and coils. They are eibach springs as well. I'll wait till tokico produces the 5 way for our fit Thanks for the review is it pretty stiff?? what are the spring rates?

I've been lowered on Eibach sportline. When I had them installed with alignment, they decided that a camber kit wasn't needed. Also, no signs of rubbing so far. They handle ok on bumpy roads without any weight. But slap on an addition 300 lbs (not including me, 130 lbs...so +430 lbs curb), and the front lip will suffer minor scratches on bumpy roads. I guess that's the consequences of lowering 2 whole inches though. LOL
Turning wise, it's more circular and doesn't move my cargo around as much as the stock springs. And my passengers seem impressed that they don't feel the swaying motions as much. Also, I've noticed a significant change in handling on freeway where the car doesn't sway as much. And wind noises seem less noisier than before. Only drawback is hitting bumps on the road since spring is stiff, it sends the car flying upwards once in awhile.
I can see why gimme is very happy with the pro kit. Because he doesn't have to deal with the front lip being scratch... lol. Overall, I would give the sportline an 8/10 because I was expecting the car to bottom out with 400 lbs, but it didn't.
