bumping/thunk sound in rear

anyone else have a sound in rear on right side ??? when i bought my FIT with everything stock except axle back when i would make a left turn or go in left hand curve and if the road was little bumpy or alot bumpy then i would get this thunky bumping sound like something loose in rear.. it souinds like it is around the tire or so..
when i lowered the fit with springs it seem to went away and then now with my monroe air shocks on rear the sound is back when i drive straight or turns and go over little potholes, bumps etc..i have checked my exhaust, axleback, shocks, springs, everything under it seems like it is tight...if i driving and swerve left and right it doesnt do it only when driving like 40mph or below and over bumpy road i hear it..

What couild it be??

you check and make sure your spare and jack are secured all the way down. They could be loose so every time you hit a bump at a low speed it knocks them around on the bolt they are secured down with.

bumpy roads.

You said you have an axle back? Lift up the rear end and look for evidence that there has been rubbing on the exhaust pipe. That used to happen on my Accord

I have the same problem. Going slow over bumpy roads or rough pavement and I get a strange something is loose sound from the rear??

Happened after installing the monroe air shocks. I followed all the "How to Install Monroe Air-shocks" directions too. Made sure everything was tight, reused stock bushing/sleeve and used extra washers as spacers on the lower shock mount.

Might try swapping them out with stock shocks this week to see if the sound goes away.

no cargo cover...lifted up the spare cover checked spare tire, jack, taillights, tailgate, spoiler, all for tightness...
yes i used the rubber bushings/washers and metal washers from the stock fit shocks on the new air shocks..removed the metal stud sleeve and put on new shocks..used the metal washers for bushing on the bottom mount between the shock mount on the shock and the housing/mount on the bottom..i have looked and dont see anything touching or rubbin when on grouind or up in air..no exhaust rubbing but i will check again.
sound like something loose and bumping around

what was your loose noise or did u figure it out yet..

Did one of those plastic bolts that holds the fender in or underneath the bumper come out so when you hit bumps it pops down slightly and hits back into place.
