Cjecpa, I plan to upgrade wheels. Will keep them 16. Also plan to do something with front lamps. I like that Halo/projection look. With a black inside. Here again not sure. I rather pay more and get them custom. I'm not into that LED look. They look somewhat cheesy after market. Don’t get me wrong as long as they look more OEM. Otherwise you hit or miss. I would like true looking Halo's. My daytime running lights to be in Halo mode! Spoke to Advanced Automotive concepts. They said they could do it. We're talking $700/$800. Trying keep them as white as possible. Perhaps with a hint of of blue. They can have lights switch colors, that all comes with a price tag. I gave my son my Black Scion BB 1st gen. I love the car. I even have him keep it in the garage. That car started me on the path to smaller cars. Enjoying the simplicity some corkiness. Also the uniqueness of these cars. Yes gas mileage is great plus.

That’s what drew me to the Fit. In my youth living in NJ. I had Nissian 280Z. I purchased a Bettle for $500.00 as my winter car. Now looking back that was my first small car.
The fit inside gives me a feel of openness as did the XB. They’re both fun to drive. Lots room for a small car. Truly I can afford a lot more. Have my eyes on a buying a boat, once again, with that I have to buy a pick up. Will see where that goes. For now I would like to move on this quickly. My fit is Black. Purchased in April 2012, it’s an 09 with 28,442 miles. Honda certified. I immediately had wins tinted. Pick-up oem visors through ebay. Now ready to lower and place new wheels. The front halo lamps will be last. Yet would like to have them before the holidays, we’ll see?

Peace
Jesse…Miamijazz

just go by the chassis code. as long as it is a GE8 it should have the same length strut.

Hi all

I would like to know is there any label or indicator on Mugen Suspension Coil Spring. Actually, I am using Mugen Sport Absorber and it comes with black color coil spring. I bought it from used JDM shop in Malaysia and installed it on my GD1 in January 2012. But forgot to snap any pictures of it. So, today I am thinking to swap my absorber to J's Racing suspension. He asked me either the coil spring is original or not.

Why 10K?

Ksport will allow you to change the rate of their kits. Thats what I did.

Coilovers for 2005 Fit

Hey guys, am wondering is there a major difference between the 2005 model and 2006?

Have been trying to find coilovers for a jdm 2005 fit but with no luck. Have found several though that fit 2006 and 2007. Can these work?

I'm hoping to upgrade the suspension on my 2011 Honda Fit standard (non-sport). I don't know much about doing this and my reason for doing so is that I put 4 adults and 4 bicycles on the roof almost every weekend, resulting in some really rough riding on NYC's shitty streets.

What's my best bet for doing this? Don't need to lower it or anything, just looking to really smooth out my ride as much as possible.

Thanks!

Honestly? Buy more car.

The reason your ride quality is bad is because you are bottoming out the suspension. You might try installing air shocks in the back and pumping them up when you load up the car. Folks were successfully adapting Monroe shocks to GDs, but I haven't kept up with the later models.

Does anyone know if the 2018 struts/shocks/springs will fit a GE8?

A friend has had 3 Fits, and said he really liked the '18 OEM suspension tuning compared to his prior 2 GE8s. My 2011 is about due for struts/shocks and we want to keep it close to stock, so thought this might be a good choice, IF they'll fit of course.

the following PN's are GE8 specific, and fit my GK5 just fine:

Koni Orange STR.T Shocks/Struts
(8750-1102L/R, 8050-1131)

Tein S.Tech Lowering Springs
(SKB74-AUB00)

LOL, no, I guess I worded that in a weird way. My friend was telling me how much better he liked the 2018 suspension compared to his GE8, so I thought that might be a decent "upgrade" for our 2011 with OEM shocks/struts/springs.
