Definetly get an alignment after loweing

I am glad I did. I went 100 miles before my alignment. The toe was out bad after lowering..

perfect now and no camber bolt or kit needed.

Good call with the alignment. It truly is NEEDED, but some people find out the hard way.

so 100 miles is a good enough wait until an alignment is necessary?

Breaking in is one thing, and is actually a good idea, but there are some people that I will not humiliate by mentioning that don't think they need an alignment for 1000(s) of miles........and they are wrong.

I would say a bit of normal driving to get the springs moving and about 4-7 days to settle (driving as little as possible in the meanwhile).

I have an auto eng. in the family and he says, the better springs have a minimum settling factor as to cheap springs. I got swift springs, and I think they are the best.

I am glad I got an alignment now. the company we use, also, guaranteed them for 3K miles and offers an adjustment at no charge. This is what I will do. I also have very expensive tires, so, even a small change can save them.

ps this is from the swift website:
Also, Swift Sports Springs has been designed to give you your ride height immediately. That means the springs are preset and you would not have to wait 3 months for the springs to settle for alignment or camber adjustments. For all of our applications, the spring’s specifications were set by professional drivers on test tracks. We were able to maximize the amount of control while retaining the ride comfort of your vehicle. Installation on our springs is also straight forward. You won’t have to change out your shocks (unless if you want to) to compensate with our Sport springs. It is truly a plug and play part for your performance vehicle

3 months before getting an alignment? (from Swift's website) I would have burned through like 2 full sets of tire in that time. I went 4 days after lowering one of my cars (2000 Cavalier using H&R springs) and only drove to and from work before getting my alignment (7miles each way) and burned through 2 Toyo Proxies (RE950's). The bands were showing on both front tires by the 4th day when i dropped it off at the shop.

I understood EXACTLY what it said. I was referring to the other recommendations (as in for other springs).

yah, from my experience running many lowering springs, they tend
to settle in a bit more after time. so if you're willing to do a few
alignments that's great. otherwise i just wait and break them in
real nice before taking it in. even so, it can settle a tad more after
a month or so.
