I've been reading these support bar sites and come to a conclusion. These ignorant people who say braces don't work are used to loose and sloppy cars. I see no point in arguing with them. Let them have fast (loose) and rubber band suspensions.

nah dude, its cool. everyone is entitled to their own opinion. the only thing that bothers me is when people talk crap about something before they have tried it. even still, i know what works for me and what works for me may not work for the next guy. i know what makes my driving better and i know what decisions are right as i have people guiding me in the right direction. people that i trust because they have proven these parts to work through race testing.

 

I am talking down on a C-pillar bar because I think it is junk. The only thing I would see working is this HondaMarketPlace.com: Southern California: FS: Top Fuel B-C Pillar Bar... REAL DEAL!!!!!

I read in another thread that the Tanabe rear strut bar got in the way of the rear seat when reclining. I may be wrong but, you might want to check that out before purchasing.

 

no, it doesnt. my seat goes all the way back.

i just got my T1R c-pillar bar like seriously couple of hours ago...to be honest...its a sexual delight cus
1) its carbon fiber and its from a trusted brand of fitfreaks.net, T1R
2) it came within 3 days (no express shipping or anything special)

for performance, i haven't taken any hard corners and ever since i installed my progress sway bar, i probably can't tell the difference but i bet that the c pillar bar will help in any way small or big...i think its time for a touge session soon to see if it helps

but IMO, yeh anything helps depending on how well its made. i was actually looking into strut bars, and read threads and it seems that if the strut bars actually bolt to the chasis then it helps much more than if it was attached to the tops of the strut tower, thats why i really like the cusco ones.

but then again so thats another good point to mention...does this occur with coilovers since they are so stiff?? wut about springs?? or stock supension??

 

Nah my friend, Umiekun, has one and I made sure that the seats can recline all the way. Yeah, that was one of my main concerns too.

 

Yea he is in school for welding etc, so he is doing it for a class project. Only thing is since the fit is longer than the ek hatch, so I want a 6point verses the 4point, and Iam having trouble with that. Plus one solid bar, not bolted together.

 

I have only one concern about multipoint braces. Honda has insured a lot of safety into their cars and created a lot of crumple zones. When you brace across one of these zone be sure these braces don't come apart and kill you in an accident. Carbon fiber hoods are illegal in Hawaii because they don't crumple.

 

True. I remember reading a article saying they wanted to make c/f axles and shit for F1 cars because of c/f shattering, so they would not cause more hard or something along those lines.

Take a look at this site ULTRA RACING Chassis Strengthening Technology. Richard "ultrarev" is a member on this site looking for US distributors. I got the lower rear brace and the rear sway bar (that doesn't fit USDM). Other good looking welded steel braces. He sent me a lot of pics and tests run on them. I was checking shipping to Hawaii and it wouldn't make sense for me to bring these bars and braces in.
