with the car jacked up, spray some wd-40 on the bolt and let it soak it up. Then take a box end wrench and put it around the nut. then take an allen wrench and place it into the top of the shock. then just hold the allen while opening the bolt counter-clockwise. It helps to have the car in cargo mode so u can sit inside the car n work on it.

Good advice, use a box ended wrench and if you don't have one invest in one before you start

yep. iirc, honda does a tool lending program. im not sure if they'd do it for a simple tool like this, but it's definately a possibility

use a offset box wrench and allen key... and use some muscles. quick
burst will take it off. not a long push/pull. actually you should never
push a wrench when loosening cause it could suddenly crack loose
and you fall. lol

yeah lol. turn it quick to "break" it loose. then it'll just be a matter of loosening it all the way.

btw. did you guys put the metal washer above the strutbar, or below it? i put the strutbar right on top of the washer, then the nut on top of the strutbar..

you could but theres a possibility that it'll still spin the whole strut, give it a shot though, it wont damage anything, just spin it all
