What springs for me?

I just got a set of wheels....and well, i think the offset is just way off for what i should have gotten...but they were a good enough deal to just ride with it.

i have 16" wheels on a 38 offset and 205/45/16's.

i'm wanting to lower my car now....and want to avoid rubbing if possible...but want to get rid of some of the wheel gap.

what springs lower the least on the market? so far, i think it's eibach for me...but i haven't really looked that much.

i never rubbed with my tein s-techs. i have ran 15's ,16's , and 17's. i still have yet to rub. so i would highly recommend s-techs. although at time it is a lil to bouncy here and there but it is rare.

no, they're trash actually. VERY low quality....they were a honda-tech fad when they first came over here...and that's really the only reason i can tell that they're still "popular" over here...but the ONLY people with them (well....at least the US coilovers...japan gets the only half decent ones...but they're low grade over there) are ricers

i just got by word of mouth from many many many many many people i've dealt with through the years, in this industry. most making monthly trips over seas for parts picking, who deal directly with over seas shops and teams.

you guys can buy all the trash you want, i'm not. I'm just gonna cheap out for now and buy some df's, until some decent coilovers come around

i personally haven't purchased any tein products, but from the looks of it, they're a reputable company with a very good reputation in the aftermarket car parts industry.

for the coilover comment, tein isn't the only company with coilovers for honda fits. i hope you know that..
aj-racing, ive heard has the best coilovers out right now for the usdm fit.

Not entirely true, swift springs have 1.2" in the front and 1" in the rear... the Tanabe GF210's have a touch less drop in the rear. They are 1.5" in the front and 0.9" in the rear.
reference: Tanabe Racing Development, USA

I run the Tanabe's on my car, they are a fantastic product.

ur gonna rub with the df for sure. the gf u will rub when u run the car hard. its not the setup on the springs thats gonna force u to rub, its ur wheels and the tires and offset etc. 205 45 16 will rub with a 38 offset on a df drop for sure. and i would say keep ur badmouthing comments to urself. if u aint got nothing nice to say dont say it. tein is a pretty reputable company and i used their coilovers on my past cars. they are good quality for the money.

What this forum needs a sticky list consisting of after market size rim diameters, allowable offset ranges, tire size and post who's ride is rub free.

If a member has a major or minor rub...tell us where it's rubbing.

Solutions can be spacers, spacer kits with extended lugnuts, fender rolling or just a bad choice of rim or tire size!!!

The subject has been posted all around here but not consolidated!!!

In-general for me...I LOOK FOR RACE HERITAGE HISTORY from a company involved in various kinds of motorsports. Spring rates too are important.
