Skunk 2 springs... excessive noise?

Just had the Skunk 2 springs installed on my gf's Fit not too long ago... and I noticed a lot of excessive noise when hitting about anything that wasn't 100% flat... is that normal? I had Spoon Progressives on my EP and it didn't sound like that... neither did my T1R coilovers.

As for her Fit, it's creakin and squawkin on every impurity the Canadian roads give me.

I heard a friend say to just buy some tubing, and place it around the tighter coiled parts and it should stop the noise... any harm in doing that?

Any info? Thanks~

Well, from what I remember, the logo was right side up... you'd think they'd make sure of that?

could b that or theyre not on the rubber things on the bottom of the springs which causes it to hit the metal and make that shit noise, had the same problem

my tanabe gf210's came with that tubing you are talking about and i don't have any noise at all.

On another note, skunk2's are not progressive, they are linear.

I suggest flipping them over as Chris advises. It worked Ezekielwhore, so it may work for you as well.

If that doesn't work, I suggest getting Civic (I forget what year) spring silencers. Here's the part #: 52442-SH3-000

and it can be found here for less the $6:
TUBE

I am using them at the top and bottom of my REAR springs in place of the thicker rubber pieces that hold the springs in place. I also know people are using them in between some coils where friction can occur hence getting rid of the "noise" or metel grinding you're talking about.

they are #6 in the pic below:

hope this helps.

Thx for the help everyone... I jacked it up and saw it was rubbing the side like George02 said... moved it around a bit and it's fine now~~

was talking about my Spoons on my EP3... hehe
