Coilover Install **NEED HELP**
#22
It looks like the passenger side wheel is angled outward (toe?) and causes the car to steer to the right if I dont hold the wheel slightly cocked to the left. Should I just get an alignment, or is there some way I can take the wheel off and re adjust this?

Yes, you NEED an alignment... Every time you change something on
the suspention, you need alignment. Your toe is out, your camber
is out and if you continue to drive your car, your tires will be out

yep things are crooked. you can try to straighten it yourself but it's not going to be as straight as a pro can do. I think a lot of track guys align the camber on their own. right?

BTW - since I dont own a FIT yet - are the CVs "rezeppa" type (ball and cage) or Tripod Tulip?
Tripod Tulip has lower drag (weaker for racing use) but better plunge...
Many cars use an inner tripod tulip and an outer rezeppa....

I have this same problem right now and hopefully someone can direct me a little. Like the post above the tripod is the three things that have to line up correctly right? once they are in, how do i know they are in? and do i have to jam the axle and hub assymbly to get the axle in all the way, or does it just set in place. my friend with his EP3 said that his fell out and he had to jam it in place..... please help soon.....

used google
Found this
AUTOS & BOATS : Suspension : Axle CV-Boot Joint -- Parts Installation and Reassembly : DIY Network
Pics J, K, and L show a tripod type inner CV
I have NO IDEA what kind of inner CV is on a Honda Fit (Rezeppa ball or Tripod Tulip)
I like google...
More tech than most wnat to read - but I think its neat

If the balls fall out of the cage its a freakn mess to get back together..

I'm lovin the stance of your car. It looks great with your GF1. I was planning on getting those wheels and was wondering what they would look like. Sweet ride

Are you suppose to install the driveshaft after control arm is connected or driveshaft first?
I'm installing new control arm, stabilizer, driveshaft. What should be the order of install. Do I need to unhook anything before trying to put in the driveshaft?
I'm kinda worried since so many had problem installing the driveshaft.
Thanks,
James

I'm dealing with this right now. I've now spent six times the amount of time trying to get this driveshaft back in as opposed to the entire spring swap. Absolutely un****ing believable. I would except this on my e36 but not a Honda.
