Eibach Pro springs installed...
Here's are some crappy cellphone pictures. It's now riding on Eibach Pro springs. 1.6" drop in the front (1.5 finger gap front), 1.3" drop in the rear (1 finger gap rear).
Initial feel is great. I didn't want an aggressive stance, just something to reduce the wheel gap and give the front lip a hope in hell of surviving our winters. Installation was a joke. Took 70 minutes on my garage floor using an impact wrench to take things apart, and reinstalled with hand tools. Getting the rear lower isolator to sit correctly was the challenge in the rear.

Looks awesome my fellow Canuck!
These cars are meant to be in that bulldogish squat stance; and those winter black steelies and tire set looks like you mean business too, but functional for our winters up here.
I contemplating the other main rival German spring company too which also has a rich and diverse race heritage..,H&R.
On a side note, where was that Eibach Prokit manufactured? Germany or U.S.A.?

Eibach Pros are 4069.140.
I chose Eibachs since I have a set on my GS-R. H&R also has a good reputation.
LOL, I like that bulldog statement! I've been a fan of winter steelies since I started driving.
Damn good question as to where they were manufactured. I'll have to remove a wheel and see if the spring is labelled. Odds are the paperwork or box that came with them won't say much.

Awe shit...can't stop looking at the pic. Nice drop overall.
You must just enjoy walking up to your car from a distance in a parking lot and admiring it.
I really love that the ass end got pushed down also..,because of the visual dimension of this car model; the rear upward sweep contour of the back windows and more sheet metal ratio towards the back 1/2 of the car, made the proportions of stock height Fits look like an insecure HIPPO on stilts.
This Bulldog stance is mean and visually it is growling at me in without it being started and in Park.
Okay...sorry for the artsy fartsy talk guys...continue on as usual.
My future springs will have these as a choice or dimension of the drop as close as possible.

It’s hard to really give more feedback right now. My commute to work was in the rain, with snow tires. It does feel a bit stiffer, you feel more of the road surface (something I like). It’s still very compliant. It feels like the tires are soaking more of the road imperfections than before. The car stays more level in the corners, less nose dive under braking.
I can’t wait to get a decent day to wash it and take some better pictures.

Great choice and good looking drop, but not a slammed look. Had installed a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs on my Smart for 2 and was very satisfied with the ride and overall handling after the mod.
How much of a gap (clearance) do you still have once you have 1/2 rear passengers? I notice there is a slight fender scrapping with passengers on my new wheel/tire set-up (16 x 7 Works CR Wheels +35 offset and 205/45 x16 rubbers). Am wondering if rolling the fender lip will be sufficient to resolve any problems once I install the Pro-Kit.

By the way, may I know where you bought the Eibach Pro-Kit and price?

I already posted how much I paid. :P About 330$ CDN from a local shop in Ottawa, it was a one time deal to meet his order requirements.
I'll see what I can do about those pictures. Rim offset will be the biggest factor.
Thanks Paulo. Not as aggressive as the Skunk2s, but ideal for our climate.

Great Springs EIBACH PRO KIT
I JUST HAD MY EIBACH PRO KIT SPRINGS DONE OVER THE WEEKEND ..AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE. IT HANDLES WAY BETTER. AND THE RIDE IS TIGHTER...NOT HARSH AT ALL. STEERING ALSO IMPROVED. AND IT LOOKS THE WAY IT SHOULD LOOK..WITHOUT THE HUGE WHEEL-FENDER GAP. I GOT THEM FROM THE TIRERACK.COM AND HAD THEM INSTALLED AT MEINEKE IN LINDENHURST.
