haha yea, even just on the 205 50's without camber I had to flip the front liners

Still really glad to hear more people getting into STF with the Fit! Feel free to message me or compare notes! I am still trying to sort out tire pressure...

I have no idea on PSI, I ran higher than I might with good ST tires (but just a guess, most of my autox experience is on R tires so I have no real clue as to ST tire PSI), figuring the sidewalls on my crap tires aren't as stiff as a real ST tire. I started at 42F and 38R (cold), and dropped to 36R for the last couple runs. I think if I had more runs I would've dropped the rear even more to try to get the rear to rotate more, I prefer a "loose" car.

Edit - To gain negative camber I assume you used adjustable bolts? If so, did you do both bolts and what brand? Thanks!

If you go with a staggered front/rear tire width or compound you can make this car VERY loose in the rear. With my 225 RS3's in front and 205 Falken 912's in the rear I had waaaaay more overseer than I wanted!

I started with a single camber bolt in the top mount and ran -1.4 for a long time. I recently added the second bolt in the lower hole to achieve -3. Not sure on brand, most recent ones might even be moog. I have the box at home and can check though. I have heard noise about it not being a good idea to run them in the bottom due to so much leverage on that point and that a single AutoX run can cause the alignment to shift.... I'll know by end of the week when I get my new setup aligned and report back to the group!

So my tire guys know they're business >_< just gotta manage the rubbing in the rear right now... the camber difference is supposed to compensate for driver weight, but it's super slight. I was more impressed that even after multiple AutoX and daily abuse the camber bolts both top and bottom didn't shift!!!

We have had camber bolts top & bottom for the last 3 event. No movement so far.

Had an AWESOME event on Sunday. Best time of the day was a 68.600 on a Fun run:

I am very, very happy with my current setup, and the RS3's seemed to like the heat, as it was HOT. Got my PSI figured and kept it within 1/2lb of were I wanted it and managed to get 10 runs in through out the day. The course was the fastest I have been on to date, and I actually experiences ABS engaging for the first time in the FIt Also I just cut a few turns to tight and lost too many revs and momentum. Time to learn to use the left foot on the middle pedal

I LOVE the STF PAX Pax Time Results, #10 - Event 10 --Castle AB, Atwater - Sun 09-30-2012

A few action shots can be seen here https://plus.google.com/photos/11829...O-7k5n23KfhlwE

Hope every one else is having fun out there

I'm jealous of the size of that lot, we have s*** lots around here compared to that. Nice finish in PAX! Are you still on a staggered setup? What PSI did you end up running?

Everyone told me this lot was tiny.... so I was kinda shocked as I had never been here before. The course was just over a mile in total length!

I am staggered but only by offset. I am +17 front, and +32 rear on the 225 45 15 RS3's. I did my best to keep both front and rear PSI at 33lbs but I think I may push that up to 34-35 in the rear for a little more rotation if I need it.

Would still love to have the company and the competition If you want to try to plan ahead for some dates...
SFR has an event at the OAK Coliseum on 10/07/2012
Fresno SCCA has another event at Atwater on 10/14/2012
SFR has an event on the 10/27/2012 down at Marina

I think my GF/Photo-vidi-ographer/Pit Crew may only allow 2, and not likely another Atwater event (2 hour drive to the site for me.) PM me to sort details if you think you can make any of them!!!!

Thanks for info! Still have to replace my cracked windscreen ($500 or so it seems like I never have ) don't think it'll pass tech like that. I'll get back to you via PM for more scheduling once that's done.

Must be quite cracked to not pass tech I have seen some perdy rough ones get cleared but I am by NO means a Safety Chair lol Even If you just want to come out and co-drive/ride along in my Fit (I do have a second set of magnetic numbers) I would love to link up at an event!

Hm maybe they're not as strict at autocross, it's a pretty bad crack, maybe i'll give them a call and see what they say. I thought the SCCA rulebook calls for no cracks but maybe that's the road racing book?

I'll send you a PM re: schedule

I am super pleased with my wheel choice, size, tire choice and PSI! The Hankook's loved the heat out in the valley, and should last me well through my "Slush" season. In fact my first event for slush is this Sunday at Golden Gate Fields. If I was to change anything, it would be to have lighter wheels.... at total weight of like 36-37lbs with tires mounted, they arent much better than stock...

I stopped carving canyons in July last year when I had a serious accident due to a deer.... I had driven that "touge" for years, but you cannot control lets shall we say environmental factors...

If you cant get to a controlled area with provisions made for "spirited driving" your taking an awful large risk whenever you put the skinny pedal down...

just my .02

Check out the Fresno SCCA chapter!!! The next event is on the 14th at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater. Fresno SCCA - Solo / Autocross Racing - Fresno, CA

So I found a set of 205/50/15 Falken Azenis 615's brand new for $300, bought a couple camber bolts and tried the car out yesteday at autox. I didn't measure camber, I just pushed them in as far as they would go with the bolts. Yesterday was cold, a high of 49, but what a difference some decent tires made, I used 36F and 33R PSI. The car was a zillion times better than last time wtih the crap all seasons (duh). I had a great time and was getting the car to rotate much better. I ended up 8th in PAX out of 50, FTD was a Vette, but 1st and 2nd in PAX were Civic's (FSP & STC). Had a great time despite cold temps and some rain in the last runs.

ragingti- Glad to hear you got out there and had some fun!

My poor Fit is in the shop Long story short, my ECU got fried.

I was lucky enough to be offered a chance to co-drive another local Fit at our first "Slush" event on Sunday and had a BLAST. Our setups are almost the complete opposite, auto vs manual, front sway vs RSB, Toyos vs Hankooks so it was really fun to see and compare the two cars. A few actionish shots can be seen here: Zenfolio | Mark Mervich | AutoX 10-7-12 | Photo 52

Hoping to have my Fit back for the other two events this month
