BC Pre-Season Event

BC Pre-Season Event
There is some kind of an autocross event happening in Vernon BC on April 18th; I think I am going to head down for the weekend and sign up.
From the sounds of it they are not dividing the cars into any specific class, which while at first seems bad... but it also sounds like it is going to be a lot of highly modified cars mostly running street tires. Which actually might be a nice environment for a Fit running a few suspension upgrades.
I always love going to events with new people, then getting mocked and ribbed for driving a refrigerator on wheels... then putting down a jaw dropping run
I am expecting the biggest competition to come from local Mustangs and Corvettes. Fingers crossed for a tight course!

Hey,
Don't know if you saw Murray's post in the local solo 2 forum regarding licensing. With my trip down in mid May, I was looking to see if there were any events in Victoria and at the licensing.
Doesn't look like we need to pay the extra $10 for a license (section 3.6 2010 Autoslalom Rules) and they should recognize the WCMA license for insurance purposes...
Might be a good idea to print off some of their rule set to show the event organizer and save you a little coin.

I don't think this pre-season event would require any licensing, I don't even think they recognize car classes... everything is all lumped together.
I have a friend who is involved in the event I was going to stay with...
...although I might be out now. It looks like we are about to get a hell of a winter storm leading up to this weekend which would make the trip out there pretty treacherous for me. The added weight of a whole bunch of things that need my immediate attention at home have suddenly surfaced as well.
