Detailed a fellow 09 Fit
Hey guys, traveled to daytona and battled daytona 500 traffic for this one. Check out some before and afters. Car wasnt in too bad of a shape overall.
Before:
Door jambs:
That was easily cleaned:
Using clay to remove prior wax to get ready for polishing, half the hood done in this picture. Notice the right side isnt beading.
Didnt get any during pictures but heres the outcome.
Car didnt have any swirls or imperfections so just jewelede the paint using Menzerna 106fa on a white pad.
These pictures are after the polishing before any kind of sealant or wax.
Couldnt get any outside shots since it started raining but the owner took some the next day. All these pictures are after a coat meguiars #21 left to cure for about half an hour and a coat of optimum car wax.
Thats all folks! Thanks for looking!

Great job! Doesn't seem like the car was in the worst condition to begin with.
Did you detail the visors? I've found that Meguiar's PlastX is too harsh of an abrasive for the black visors. They actually made the problem worse than what it was to begin with. Might try some #17 & #10 Plastic Cleaner/polish.

Anyways the car was in great shape, although it hasnt seen a clay bar yet which you can tell from the pictures how dirty the clay bar came out.

RS*R downs. Its the perfect drop IMO. Gets rid of the huge wheel gap but is still driveable and only 10 percent stiffer than stock. I'm getting a set for mine too.

Well any clean car will get dirty eventually. But this car was clayed and polished, stuff that will make it look way better than just washing it. Plus with the layers of protection I put on the paint itself and even on the wheels washing it should be a breee.

Do you pretty much use the 4" pads with the PC all the time? I've been using 5.5 pads with mine but have seen quite a few people use the 4" pads.

4" pads are the only way to go with a porter cable. Going with a 4" offers way more correction than 5.5" pads. Smaller diameter will mean it will spin faster and correct more. Also I find easier to control through the curves on the cars I do. 5.5" would be way to big to go on top of the bumpers, fenders etc...
