Fit for Off Road ?

Just came across this.... Hmmmm
After selling my massive 4x4 truck and getting into this tiny toy, this is interesting !

That Fit looks photoshoped but the idea is pretty cool. IMO mine would turn out something like this:

VWVortex.com - Non-Stanced Rabbit

If you're serious about the idea, get creative and go for it!

First thing you'd need to do,, if you really want to try this is get it on a lift, pull all the suspension and add gussets and reinforcing plates to every pickup point on the car.

Basically you'd want to follow what most rally cars do. A 8 point cages welded to the body so all the seams don't open.

Add a full length plastic rock cover to the bottom so it will slide past stuff instead of catching.

Wonder if CRV struts could be made into the lift kit?

The fit chassis is know for issues that stem from flexing, like the rear hatch and door water leaks, FLex is the enemy on a spot welded unibody car.

Good luck and post pics!!

that is indeed photoshopped. look up the Fit Twist or Jazz Twist. It's a special "off road" version of the Fit in Brazil without any 4x4 capabilities, just styling.

This would be awesome though... Wonder if there's any 4x4 conversion kits out there... or at least lift kits...
