Jakarta Jazz (That's what we call 'em over here)

Hi guys,

Name is Jon, hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia. In fact, I think I joined this site long before this forum has any members because you guys don't get the Honda Fit over in US then. Anyway, I had some crazy stuff done to my Fit including custom moulded Balsarini kit, Porsche big brakes, JDM side mirrors /w blinkers, JDM center console /w armrest, custom leather interior, forged 17" rims, coilovers, HKS exhaust and intake, hotbits header & downpipe and custom b-pipe and I got braces up the wazoo, shaved rear wiper, JDM led taillamps & projector headlights, custom rear spoiler . Then I bought a Subaru Sti and kinda lost interest in the Fit. Brought everything back to stock. This was how it looked then:

Anyway, due to an unfortunate incident with a towtruck that ripped my stock bumper apart, the insurance company gave me a new Type-S front bumper and now I got bitten by the mod bug again. So I am back! I will be modding this Fit next to my Subaru but now moderation is the key. The previous Fit mods were way over the top and I couldn't daily drive it.

So, fast forward to yesterday...still waiting for top grill, bottom grills and tow hook cover...I took apart and painted the headlamps black. I still kept the Balsarini sideskirts and am searching for exhaust, header and downpipe now... No need for a pic coz it looks like a standard Fit Type-S at the moment.

Isn't it weird how I somehow manage to post mods ass-backward? Hur hur hur...

I sourced the brakes from a junkyard out in Hongkong and then got the brackets custom made by a Honda race shop over there. The rotors were a redrilled supra tt rotors, pads were original porsche pads and the brake lines were are braided. It stopped so quick I think the car wanted to lift its butt everytime I had to hard brake hehe..

I think if you read his post carefully, you would know he used 17" Forged Rims, that's how he got the braking system in.

1) The Porsche Brake Calipers
2) The re-drilled Disc Roters from a Toyota Supra

correct me if i'm wrong.
but that's on helluva setup on a Honda Fit/Jazz.

The rims are made by Real Racing out of Japan, forged and super lightweight. And yes, the specs on the brakes or correct, thanks Blitz.
The whole system is about USD1200 and that includes everything, calipers, redrilled rotors, stainless brake lines, race pads and custom brackets. I sold them a while back for USD1000. Not sure how easy to find those stuff in US...

I got them locally and they are Taiwanese made brand called ESDEPO. They have a few branches overseas, but not sure how accessible they are for the US market....
