They're somewhat safe, but for cornering its shit. Its a trend that needs to die, having properly fitted tires could save your life. Ever have to dodge someone pulling out in front of you on a 2 lane road with a 55 mph limit? Regardless of brakes, suspension setup, tires can make or break that situation, and you run the risk of breaking the bead on your tire if they aren't proper sized tires. I'm done ranting, heres a shot of my car.
thumbs up for you

Stretched tyres are perfectly safe, as long as they aren't insanely stretched.
Because of the lack of sidewall movement, they aid in cornering and general handling.
But over stretched tyres aren't as safe. My front's are over stretched IMO, but they are fine for the time being.
I only have them to fit my wheels on my car.

This logic defies this little thing called physics. Plus good luck hitting a rough patch of road or a pothole.

Your car > hers
Jerome ftw
(that's your name right? been a while since you were in whore thread)

Defies physics eh? May I ask where you got your degree?
In case you haven't noticed flex is regarded as a bad thing in terms of handling...and also you know there's still a seal on the tires right?
Also, if people can drift on stretched tires, how can't someone DD on them? Those cars get driven....HARD

LOL at comparing a daily driven car to a drift car that gets new tires before every event. That seal you are talking about is only held in place by the air in the tire, theres no glue, theres nothing physically holding that tire in place aside from some air pressure. Go ahead and stretch some tires, but have fun after you hit a pothole and you break the seal.

What about the street drifters? They don't change them everyday?
And hitting potholes? What about hitting everything else.
Most drift cars see street time (at least up here)

Now its starting to sound like you're arguing towards having beefier tires. That car you posted doesn't have stretched tires.
