@Kevos2k - Did you drive the S2K from CO to the Homecoming or was it trailered? Wanted to scrutinize your car but was distracted by the Toyo Model.

drove it from CO top down the whole way through snow in Vail and 110* heat through death valley the total mileage was right at 2300... i have about 67XX on the swap right now with no major issues.

At sea level the car was so much fun felt twice as fast after I retuned it I was able to spin my 265 starspecs with ease... made me want to move to cali lol

if i'm understanding you correctly then you can't lump a rwd k-conversion with a fwd; apples to oranges, much? again, what i said about the monumental cost for a rwd k-conversion was in regard to your "rwd k eg/crx" comment. if i wasn't clear before i hope you understand now.

just to clear the air a bit, i understand [now] why kevos2k went with the k24 as his goal is 300+ NA hp. while that wouldn't be the direction i would have went, i do respect the time, research, and investment he put into building his s2k.

I can compare the two...they fall under the larger category of "car modification." No matter if you're swapping for a CF hood, new rims, or a complete drivetrain conversion....there will always be people who say "that isn't worth the cost." Others won't even think twice about the price. Being different/innovating/being the first is a great motivator.

Some will say the average cost to K-swap (~$8,000) is monumental....to others it's merely the price of admission. Personally, I would love a RWD, K24 EG or EK civic...no matter the cost (time/money) to build it...it would be worth it to me....to me...again - to me....it would be worth it.

TBH, I don't really even remember what the argument was about. Cost is subjective (millionaire vs. high school kid) and arguing about something subjective is pointless. The take home message is - going fast is expensive. You have to pay to K...

lol, there you have it. two people on different sides of the spectrum: built vs. bought. you want a k24 rwd eg whereas i'd rather have a 370z. are either of us wrong? i wouldn't think so. at least we can both agree that it's one clean s2k..

good times.
