Finally, my Jazz :)

Hi All,

After a long process of hunting, I finally found my baby a few months ago:

Speclist:
2005 Honda Jazz Vti-S
Nighthawk Black
68000km (when purchased)

Previous owner done plenty right:
Webasto Sunroof
6.5k HID's (yet to take a peek at the ballasts to see what brand)
HKS Hi-Power
Front Strut Brace (No name as far as i can see)

But also Plenty Wrong:
  • Fake Mugen, Vtec emblems
  • Half taken off windscreen decals
  • Dodgy crooked "F I T" lettering on the side skirt
  • Gold (?!?) honda emblems front/back
  • Dodgy installed stereo (Alternator whine, loose connections to speakers)
  • Bling FAIL attempts (blacklighting, cigarette multi adaptors, bluetooth install) with none of them working
  • Aftermarket lights which I'm not 100% about (the AUDM GD3's came with the smoked LED lights)

So I spent the first day attempting to get rid of most of these decals on the outside. Seeing as I'm one of the few Aussie jazz owners here, will be doing my bit to rep down under with a wicked jazz to come =) You'll be seeing alot more of me on the forums now, as I try to start getting this thign to the monster shopping trolley I want it to be. Pics below:

As you've said, the previous owner did ALOT wrong. And those tail lights are disgusting.
But it's a good platform to work on. Hope to see more of it!

Agreed Braziers, Need to find someone who likes them so I can swap for JDM lights XD. I'll turn this into a picture thread eventually. With some luck this weekend, in goes the sound system We're gonna have a nightmare with the fusebox thanks to the previous owner.

Always nice to see a fellow Jazz owner in the Southern Hemisphere

Your 'no-name' strut brace could be a Spoon one, post a pic when you have a chance. Kudos on the sunroof- I'm jealous

If I may make some suggestions:

-JDM style LED tail lights are a nice addition IMO, smoked or clear.
-Get yourself OEM red badges. A bit presumptuous I know but they look nice.

Any other plans for the little Jazz?

@ Gynosis, any chance you want to swap your Jazz badge for my Fit one?

The badges and the lights are probably going to be one of the first mods. Plans for the next couple of months:
  • Audio (Will be popping up a thread in the ICE forum soon)
  • Rebadging (Either silver or Red emblems, and finding a Jazz badge)
  • Air filter (Not sure on the Panel vs Pod, since we can't have legally have the pod here)
  • Suspension (Have some Team 5Zigen "Super Loweeing" springs sitting in my garage
  • Getting rid of all the crappy bling the previous owner put inside
  • Clear indicators, Removing the chrome garnish around them (Not sure if they are standard, but I sure as hell don't like them :P
  • New Shift Boot and Pedals (another thread coming up for those)
  • Better Sounding Horn!
  • T1R B-Max C-Pillar Bar

Longer term plans include some correspondence with KW

And yes, I love the sunroof! The dealer tried to make it an "added value feature", until I explained to him that pretty much everything done to car was redundant since I was after a stock one anyway Dealer Shutdown = Price WIN!
