My Week Recap. :-/
Look for a possible part out. Vivs had a rouuugh week.
Driving home from work on Wednesday I believe, hit some traffic. I hit the brakes hard enough for ABS to kick. I hear a loud pop and my car doesnt move. All I have is reverse, figured I broke an axle. I reverse off the the busy road I blocked for 15min. Noticed this;
I wore through the metal casing that housed the control arm bushing.
Flat bedded her home. Wasnt really all that hard to do. Removing her was hell!
Heres the control arm damage. 2 new control arms later and putting a bearing back in place in the inner CV shes on the road......
For a few hours.
Driving back home on a road I daily use. Currently been repaved, but the last layer hasnt been applied. So, theres drain covers and water-main covers popped out. The ones Ive seen, I can drive over. This one was in the center of the lanes as I changed lanes.
Hit it, witnesses said I got 2feet airborne. I ripped the whole main from the road had the cover wedged in my fuel tank.
Airbag deployed, engine cradle is pushed up and back into a "V" Steering is all F-ed, (although I drove it home that way. Heh) shes just a mess.
I did a little quote myself. Parts only is at the least $2500. Not sure on the labor costs. I do have gap, and I owe 5xxx on here.
With my wheel straight my front wheels toe inward a lot.
Anyway, that was my week. Vivians not doin too well.

Back in the day (2001 I guess) I was driving my EG hatch on a similar road, hit a raised manhole cover and bent 2 of my Racing Hart C5's and blew out both tires.
I filed a claim at the township building and had a check a few weeks later.
Worth a try
