Finally got some wheels and tires. Not new but I like them. I do need to get some concentric rings as they only came with one. Anyone know where I can get them?

Yes, I will paint the drums and calipers black.

They are -

Rays Gram Lights 57c
16x7 size
42mm offset
4x100 bolt pattern
Approx. 16lbs

205/45/16 BFGoodrich KDW tires

With these tires I am off 3% on the Speedo. I will get Continentals maybe next year - 205/50/16

You need the outer diameter of the wheel hub and the outer diameter of the fits hub. After you figure out the size you need you can get some here.Hub Centric Rings - SummitRacing.com

I like the new sinister look... The tire size and lighter than stock wheels should make the little car more fun to drive... As tall as the final drive is with the automatic transmission 3% going to bother you at highway speeds and will get you into top gear sooner in town... Old Guys that look like you aren't going to get hassled by traffic cops for doing 3% above the posted speed limit unless you are wearing a hoodie and blasting rap music through a monster bass amp and 15" speakers.

Thanks. The wheels are about two pounds lighter. The tires though are bigger so not too much weight saving.

I was listening to some cool jazz on the way home yesterday and no Hoodie.

The dark gunmetal ( I think) is growing on me. I was planning on doing them in white.

I can't hear my stereo between 3000 rpm and 4000 rpm in my Fit. It looks like you also removed the window post covers also... Now I don't think chrome wheels would look good...

Well it could be your ears are going bad or is it ok after 4000?.

Nope it is just the angle. The stainless covers are still there on the posts.

I am thinking of pulling the wheels off for now. Amanda says not to use the stock nuts. Won't be long til need the snows on anyways. Just put them away til Spring but they are so nice. I was just out going through some round-a-bouts -)

Whoa yeah that's dangerous. Never use stock nuts on aftermarket wheels.

I am pretty deaf, have tinnitus and even have hearing aids but unless I'm below 60MPH and over 80MPH the exhaust produces a very annoying loud droning sound... It will more than likely be worse when I replace the 4 into 1 street header and resonator/down pipe with a 4 into 2 into 1 racing header along with an aluminum sheet metal intake manifold with conical shaped velocity stacks on the intake runners inside the plenum box.... I have 2 resonators, a cable actuated exhaust control valve I close when in town and a AeroTurbine 2540i muffler which is what is used on turbo diesel off road racing trucks and stock cars.. The little car is going to really fly when everything I have bought to install is in place.. Having it on jack stands for a while longer and knowing how much louder it is going to be is why I bought the old Cadillac to drive.. I need to have a couple of the guys with hot Mitsubishi Eclipses take a night time picture of the 3 foot flames that shoot out of the exhaust pipe when I wind it out and shift gears..

See I learnt something even at my advanced age. They are off until I get proper nuts and rings and some center caps. Will soon be time for winter wheels anyhow.

You will probably rub a little if you get 205/50/16 lowered on Swifts and 42 offset wheels.

hi black3sr- these GE's rub first in the front, right? i'd get camber bolts, give it a good -1.5 camber (or more) and get the toe aligned. that's wat i run right now. car turns a lot better with less squeeling tires, shoulders not chewed (ET45 205/45/17 RE760 17x7 very slight rubbing at full bump making turn, but with camber bolts no rubbing at all).

my winter set is ET40 and plan to do 205/50/16 DWS. i dont espect any rubbing.

btw, thanks on the tip on tilting back the driver seat. i tried it last night and will see how it goes for me. i used 3 stainless washers.

Thanks for info " less squealing tires"? I am old and don't drive mine that hard. Don't think I have ever had a tire squeal on it. But with these new tires and wheels who knows eh?

Welcome on the washers. I got it from someone else on here. I started with three and took either one or two out.

I have the same offset and the Conti DWS tires 205/50/16. Goobers has the +43 offset and he rubs on hard turns and hard bumps. I asked some Swift owners for advice in this thread.
