How hard was the rear lower mount to get to? I just installed the innovative mounts and got frustrated with the 2 top mounts so I gave up for the weekend. My stock passenger side mount was trash so it was time to upgrade anyway. With just the two innovative mounts there is noticeable vibration at idle but driving isn't too bad.

It's a pain... Fwiw the two rear bolts were a pain to remove... Had to use a breaker bar where there was no room to use one...

It's really the two rear bolts that were to biggest pain... They're in a place that is difficult to get to... What I wouldn't have done for an angled air ratchet...

Yeah I have a mt.

I looked under there and saw one of the two rear bolts, I also saw that the sway bar was right there in the way. So I didn't mess with it, I was already pretty frustrated at that point.

Yeah...

You have to remove drivers side mount, loosen the pass side, battery and tray, lower trans mount, and use two jacks to raise and maneuver the bracket high enough to get the old mount out...

You'll need a short extension to get to the rear bolts which are behind the steering rack and in front of the swaybar...

Yeah after seeing that, I'm not going to swap the front sway bar...

I swapped my front sway bar a few years ago. I had access to a lift and air tools then, without them I wouldn't have done it.

thanks... i just sold it a couple days ago after i parted it out and put it back to stock...

it was a good car to me, but when we had to buy more of a baby carrier, i got the fit for mileage, and the wife got the newer one...

my pass side fog light lens cracked and had a couple small holes in the glass, so i replaced it with home depot lexan, and covered that with 3m clear paint shield stuff to help protect it further... came out pretty nice... we'll see if it holds up to the heat...

while i had it out i dipped the foglight housings too...

painted the drivers side headlight...

i've been wanting to do this for a while, and i wanted to wait until i replaced the pass headlight b/c the lens is beginning to haze, but i was getting antsy so i went ahead and just did the drivers side... so it looks like it has a black eye right now...

i put it in the oven, separated everything, used krylon fusion satin black to paint... i removed the amber reflector and plan on getting a "chrome" turn signal bulb to completely remove the amber colors... along with reheating the original sealant, i used 3m flowable windshield goo to reseal it as well...

but here's the result at any rate:

new front brakes and wheel bearings are going in soon... front drivers side bearing is making some noise, and the brakes have been pulsating when stopping for quite some time now, despite rebeding the pads in several times...

Ordered SKF bearings from rockauto, NAPA ultra premium rotors, and Stoptech Street Performance pads...

How time flies...

no new pics.

i had our paint guy reclear my headlights with marine clear coat and they're much nicer now... and good lord this stuff is tough as nails.
replaced the starter (denso reman), clutch (exedy oem), and rear main seal (felpro).

I've had a clunking in the rear for well over a year now and i can't track it down for the life of me... i can't replicate it when it's not moving. the front lip/bumper are looking pretty rough from the 25k a year i put on it up here in the mitten. the drivers front corner is still giving me issues. i've got vibrations that are brake related, but not warped rotors. i'm beginning to suspect a wonky hub.

still running like a champ though. at 174k and doesn't seem to be missing a beat (knock on something wooden).

Clunking in the rear isn't good but luckily there's a short list of things to check. When and where is it happening and what does the clunk sound like? With your mileage, shock bushings and torsion beam bushings are a safe bet.

i've got koni yellows in the rear.

it sounded like a loose shock bolt to me (kinda still does). i took a look at the torsion beam bushing too and they didn't look torn or out of place... but something aint right. i'll have to take some stuff off and investigate.
