That was almost identical to what happened to mine. Trucks are such a pain! Backed up right into me.

So i was thinking maybe this was a blessing in disguise. Before I run this past my father and the body shop ill ask you guys first.

Would they charge me alot extra to paint part of the hood black and part of the front bumper near the grill black? I will save the roof for vinyl another time. But since there replacing and painting those parts anyway i'd figure it was possible. I'm reffering to the link below.

What's that gonna do? A car is totalled because the cost to repairs exceeds or meets a certain threshold of how much the car is worth. It doesn't matter how it was damaged...

if the truck wasnt lifted it wouldve probably made more damage on lower items, radiator, etc

id have them shoot the car all red and vinyl the black in case you change your mind later

Yup if the truck wasnt lifted I think more damage would have been done. The car is being fixed under insurance so everything is fine and not to much money was spent but I am without a car for a month. Will be difficult to get to school and work but hopefully the weather stays warm and my dad can ride his goldwing or take his lotus to work so I can borrow his civic. I've been driving my moms pilot and it's a boat compared to the fit. I miss the car.

As for having them paint it all red and get it done in vinyl. I dont like the way vinyl holds up and if I dont like it after a while ill just replace the hood with a cf one and have my friends body shop shoot the bumper red.

The friend I hit owns a body shop but his family also runs a very large plowing business the shops closed until plowing season is over. Just my luck I could of had them convert the car to JDM for not one penny.

But im mainly asking will it be a hassle for the shop to do this? They are painting these parts anyway will they charge alot to do this small mod?

It'll cost more since they've to mask it to do 2 colors. Talk to the shop and see what they can do.

They actually are doing it for no extra cost. I told them I would pay for there time and paint the guy brought it to his production manager and when he got back to me he said they would take care of it for nothing.

I had them remove a LARGE dent out of the passenger door for $150 aswell. I think someone kicked my car a long time ago . Well its fixed now I just cant wait to get it back!!

Ive got my car back now and with a little different paint. It looks nice i got a couple mods to rims, headlights, exhaust. I havent taken any pictures yet the weather in jersey is horrible rite now. I parked her in the garage while my moms at work the paint still needs to cure.
