also, are you sanding it down? why the hell didnt you use aircraft stripper.

i am uncontrollably face palming right now.

is an aftermarket hood we are trying to rust just like the vdubs do...i still have my stock hood

why does it matter how we removed it?...plus aircraft remover is a mess you gotta be careful will using it, while sanding it with a 400 grit you can simply remove the primer w/o making a mess!

because there is a right way to do something and a wrong way. if you wanted a uniform rust, you would not have sanded down the metal making it a completely different consistency. you would have used aircraft stripper on a big piece of cardboard in the sunlight because heat activates that stuff, waited 20 minutes and peeled off the bubbling paint to show an untouched surface of bare metal instead of wasting probably a good 3-4 hours sanding down a hood.work smart, not hard

also i hate this trend so i am putting the scrutiny down on you harder than normal. dont take offense, its just not my thing and it bothers me when someone isnt doing a job the correct way.

didnt really take to long it was ricky and me, and we worked on in fast! Its ok im not taking it as an offense its all cool! the job got done and we will work on it more tomorrow to make it look more rusty
