the new l15a7 head will not work on the original l15a.
you would also run into problems with the integrated exhaust manifold on the l15a7.
so how much material can you take out of the head? any chance you could hit me up with some specs and lots of porting pictures.

well i took apart the blown motor today and well........ it made me sick lol
when i flipped it over on the stand and took off the oil pan this is what my eyes were exposed to lol
the cylinder wall look perfect lol
now look what came today. she is ready to get torn apart now!!!!
the few times other people have seen me do an engine swap, they always call me anal lol every bolt and every part is cleaned and in a bag with a location and what bolt/what part/old motor or new motor.

LOL, and to think thats all it took. Just mentioning Rays Fit is in some pics will double the amount of people that take a look. I wouldn't be surprised though if you got that kind of popularity after you get your Fit running again and making the numbers your hoping for.

I wouls very seriously take a whole bunch more pics of the blown motor and send them to Honda R&D. They just might put you in a commercial! That is a definitively destroyed bottom end! Thanks for the great pics....

I was just thinking you might have been the first person in the USA to blow a fit motor up, and if your not your prolly the first one to blow one up and start building another almost right away you are definatly a pioneer in the fit L15 motor right now. Plus I was thinking while the motor was out it would be the perfect time to tuck your wires for that clean engine look, strip the car completly down, and repaint it a totaly original color that know one else will have, or mabey a Jdm only color. I would go for the dark burgandy, purple like color the element SC comes in, or the pewter grey the civic Si comes in. Just my .02 cents. Keep workin and all us full of pics

ok well last night i tore down the new motor, let me give u all a hint on how simple this motor is, 8 o clock the motor was a full turn key motor with all the accessories and drive belt. 9:45 i had a bare block and all the parts bagged and tagged with a dinner break. it should be ready for the machine shop either this week or next. and now my garage looks like a honda fit exploded in there. lol there are parts everywhere

nope, and the way its looking now it wont even have rods so no more big crazy power gains. we will up the boost to maybe 11 or 12 and should see 220 or so but thats it, un less a miracle happens.

Why no rods?
I contacted CP Pistons about some rods, and they directed me to another company that they deal directly with. They left a message on my phone saying that they can make rods for our motor, just that they would need a sample rod to get started.
