Wow! That L15 block is a strong little bugger! Looks like the con-rod cap came out the bottom and the bits of the rest of the rod and piston tried to come out the side. Forged pistons and rods and she should hold 10psi plus (not that I'm egging you on you understand) for at least another 25K miles. I personally really appreciate your attitude about the whole situation, you are showing the rest of us how extreme modding and all the ups and downs that go with it should be handled. + Rep to ya and hope its up and running strong sooner rather than later!

I think solbrothers was referring to the Rotors. They go on either way, there is no set way. I've seen it like Josh's and like that bimmer all the time. But Idealy, Josh's way works better.

I had a few motors blow up so I took what you said and made it my sig cause I remembe that happening to me. Of hand I know the white turbo k swaped fit that was i superstreet was set up for time attack, and a yellow wide body N.A. fit also in superstreet was also a track car so ti could be done right but like I said it would be expensive. I guess it would be built for turbo this time before you put it back in. I just sold my turbo Da integra but I blow the original motor up pretty good it killed the tranny, and took a axel with it. Then I blew the b16a I put in to replace that motor. I eventually bought a motor from a performance shop locally from a guy that worked there that was trying to go pro but then had a baby. But that motor lasted me since 2003 until I sold the car two weeks ago. Good luck with it

psi means nothing if we don't know which turbo and it's specs. How much whp was the car making and what turbo and .ar specs were used?

the check engine light is due to the barometric pressure sensor not being able to understand what is going on or a cat delete with no o2 mechanical simulator.

so in your opinion josh what is the mechanical weak point on the l15a when boosting?

I would say the connecting rods are one of the weak points.

i would bet money that the connecting rod bearings seized up. that was a big problem with older boosted B18's

First off great attitude with the whole situation, seems to me like your a pretty good mechanic since you blew your motor up, and have it out in less then two days... Rep+

But as to "push like a dump truck" you can always get around it like this video can prove:
YouTube - vtec war 1

Featuring GE8 K20 and J's GD3 K24ed Fit(although this one is pretty much a race car)

AND I totally respect the turbo boosted path... And I'm glad you showed how far it can go!! Can't wait to see the new engine with CP piston combo.. and how far the L15 can go!!!

FIT IS GO!!... FASTER
